My name is Tom, anime is just slowly becoming part of everyday life now :) its funny though, because when people see me, there shocked to find out that i like anime... its a shame that people are stereotypical and that you have to be or look a certain way in order to be associated with anime but anyway..... when im not watching anime, i do what your average 20 year old does, looking for a job, hanging out with friends, playing my guitar, xbox...
1) I have waaay too many anime's to watch, but im getting through them slowly but surely, but PLEASE don't hesitate to leave a reccomendation, it just might take me a while to get to that specific anime unless its already in my 'to watch list'
2) I used to be a horror/psychological anime watcher only, I entered MAL purely to find anime's in this genre, and this genre alone... but the bug got me... and now im watching anything from zombies, vampires and werewolves to..... incestious relationships with a brother and sister (yes... koi kaze) so yeah yeah my list may look a tad odd atm like random animes are just thrown in there xD
3) thanks to everyone that i've met on here and the reccomendations and advice they have given me, can pretty much say MAL is a great community so please feel free to add me/talk im always up for a good natter :)

8 days later and I finally reply, I just haven't been much in the mood for being online lately though I'm sure when thing settle down I'll find the same old desire again. More money helps in a lot of ways man, just hope they aren't working you to the bone and you don't have to deal with too many stupid asses on a daily basis. Yeah thats part of how facebook is, when I first joined I added people I went to school with but had never once talked to. Only later did I say "fuck it I hate these people!" and removed them all, even the people I liked from back then have moved on and there is no real point trying to reconnect. That part of my life is over, its dead and buried and I'm not going to dig it up again on their behalf. If anything I'd like to act like I went straight from Middle School to the College level and bypassed that time entirely :/ Hanging out sometime in the UK sounds great but you should know the offer is equally valid if ever you visit the US. I'm probably going to settle around the Washington D.C. area and that is pretty much the heart of Civilization in The US, its far from perfect but otherwise the rest of the country is similar to the place I grew up. Rural backwards communities where religion is king. Thats one of the main reasons I didn't re-friend my former schoolmates, I didn't want them to start arguing religion with me when they found out I'm an atheist. -_-
Oh mate, I've read one of the most brutal and its on my favorites: Ichi the Killer. Its so over the top with the violence it becomes surreal. Its awesome yet creeps me out everytime I read it, its also very kinky. Its heavily based around sado-masochism. I doubt its something you'd like to read. One of the most shocking scenes is when I guy gets his dick cut into two halves down the middle. Moving on away from that cringe inducing image I just put into your mind... yeah I love Junji Ito's works. He especially is good at portraying someone going insane from fear, its a plot device present in pretty much all of his works. I like his art style, I think his work "Tomie" was actually his scariest the rest are just bizarre and intriguing for me and I don't find them scary so much as just unsettling/creepy.
Ok at this point, today mom had her masectomy done in the hospital and will be staying over night and coming home tomorrow. Unfortunately its quite likely she'll have to have the chemotherapy done and that is nasty shit. I'm broken up inside about it because she really didn't want to have to. Besides that as far as I know she's going to survive and be as good as new as soon as all that stuff is over.

Well, because of its doujin status, it's a PC-only game. And just to let you know, there's no doujin game that being made for console, unless some game that official company makes ports of, such as Higurashi. For the game itself, usually it's offline-only, but there's some fighting game from Touhou too, like this, that you can play it multiplayer online, not that I ever play it online though. But maybe there's some non-official games specially built for online I think.
Also, one great thing about Touhou, even better than the game itself to me, is the music. Do you like music? If so, take one chance to hear it some like this one, you might get a blast :)

It's from Touhou. Basically it's a side-scrolling bullet hell shooter doujin game (you call it shmup/shoot 'em up/danmaku game), a highly popular doujin game. Technically it has an anime, but as a doujin work OVA. You should try the game sometime, it's one hell of a fun :)

My pleasure, its a good thing for any young man or woman to have and more so when its a couple. You don't want parental influences to get in the way ;) (the same goes for me, there is no way I could bring a girl home even if I wanted to) That sounds like a good time, I mean it when I say you're the kind of friend I always needed when I was in school but never had. I've pretty much done all I could to erase my High School past, I won't let anyone I knew from school be on my facebook friends list anymore even if I were on good terms with them. This one girl I was friends with and wanted to date at one point sent me a friend request but she is dating this rat bastard from the class below ours whom I HATE! -__- I'm starting to rant LOL, getting back on topic. It'd be great to hang out with you and life is short but it can also be long to, so long as we are alive there are always opportunities and one day we might be able to hang out even if for a brief time in person. :)
I do, it seems manga are more serious than anime. It makes a lot of sense though because anime have to be toned down a bit to be on tv while manga just have to fit the criteria for the magazine they are published in. Uzumaki was great as are pretty much all of the works of Junji Ito (I'm a huge fan of his work so I suggest you look up some of his other works and give them a look) Uzumaki is considered to be his best besides his Tomie series. All of his work is a real mindfuck but that is its charm, its got one foot in reality and the other in insanity. :D I do wonder about his mental health though to be able to come up with all of that stuff xD
As for the news its certainly not good but you needn't apologize, I appreciate the anime recommendations all the same.You did nothing wrong and nothing you'd need to apologize for!
Besides I just found out the day I messaged you back so before then it was just a suspicion but we all hoped it was benign. It could be a lot worse than it is. Its looking like she'll just have to have the tumor removed and that will be the end of it besides a little bit of follow up work. I'm certainly upset about it but not absolutely crushed into the ground, I'm a very optimistic person and am sure she'll be fine! I'll keep you updated and if I have a really bad day I'll certainly lay it on you so I appreciate your well wishes my friend and am sorry to hear your gran had it also :( The difference being though I'm sure medical care is more fair in the UK, my family is fortunately insured but surgery and diagnostic testing costs will cost us thousands of dollars we don't have and likely will take years to pay back but my moms life is what is important and those greedy bastards can go fuck themselves!

Sounds good mate, wishing you both the best and if I were in the same position I'd want to do the same. Even without a girlfriend having my own place is high on my agenda and in the near future also, just living in a dorm on the University campus would be great. We've talked about my dad enough, we'll change the subject from here on out.
Its just a really weird manga, at first its a lot like the anime and has a lot of the same scenes and stuff but most of it seems that it was all about stupid comedy and fanservice with a few good emotionally deep moments happening a few times but I think its overshadowed, I still think fondly of those good things but it is best left forgotten. The anime is on my favorites of course as one of my favorite anime of all time, the dog scene no doubt haunts you since you already mentioned that. In the manga Nyu grew up a bit and she was doing battle inside her mind with Lucy but eventually realized Lucy was a part of herself that would never go away and that she'd have to face and she knew she couldn't keep living with Kouta and everyone anymore because of what happened in the past and what she'd done. I added Psyco Pass to my planned to watch but recent events are likely going to prevent me from seeing it anytime soon, I'm just not in the mood. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and my dad already has prostate cancer, neither really are going to die its just a terrible situation I find myself in whilst having to focus on school and continuing to look for work all the more fervently since I really don't have a choice.
