Haha, yeah that's true. I'm not a Heat fan by any means, but I don't care who wins as long as there's good basketball. I just wish the Knicks would win once in my lifetime, haha.
As for my avatar, I honestly have no idea why it does that. It probably has a mind of its own. At this point, I'll just leave it alone so as not to anger it.
Starting I have Choo and Marte and sometimes I platoon Stanton and Cain with Ichiro as a backup when needed. Trout's numbers are here to say for this month. He's only getting better.
Nice, Btooom was loads better than SAO. I've been rewatching Chuunibyou all night long, finally finished it.
Yeah I've been wondering if Lee would get traded again myself. I don't think the Tigers bite on Papelbon though because of how expensive he is (money-wise and prospect-wise). Our farm system isn't deep and our payroll is pretty high, and we need to save money for guys like Scherzer and Cabrera.
Oh yeah. We'll probably shell out whatever it takes to keep him. Can't let go of the best hitter in the game.
Yeah I know. I have Choo on my team. I love my outfield, I don't have Gomez anymore (got Choo for him), but I do have Choo, Marte, Stanton, Ichiro, and Cain atm.
He literally disappeared off the face of the earth after we signed him. I can't explain because it was probably our worst free agent signing next to Carlos Silva. He is in the Marlins minors I believe, yep, that's how bad he is.
Big names are Robinson Cano, Shin-Soo Choo, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann, Hunter Pence, Matt Garza, Hiroki Kuroda, AJ Burnett, Carlos Beltran, Mike Napoli, and some others. I think we have a legit chance of getting a Choo or an Ellsbury if all can go well. Maybe we could get Kuroda if he wants to play back out west.
Should be rising because the Silva/Figgins deals were reimbursed. We could make a big run for a top player this offseason after failing for Prince and Hamilton.
Yeah it's because we were supposed to have a rookie close for us, but it didn't work out. We tried a bullpen by committee, but it didn't work out. We got desperate, and POW Valverde's back. We fans really have been cheering him on and all, but he's been testing our patience for a while now, and after Wednesday's loss I think even the team is pissed at him for blowing yet another game. Cabrera's a beast and we Tigers fans are lucky to have him on our side. They're trying to negotiate a contract extension for him ASAP.
Damn I didn't know that (though I knew that they struggled). I've liked Gomez since he was on the Twins early on and thought he had some solid potential. Glad it's finally coming out this year in a breakout season. Segura is also really solid. I voted for him for the All-Star game haha.
Mariners looked somewhat all right during April and early May, then fell off a cliff and lost 8 in a row with too many heartbreaking losses to count (The entire Cleveland series).
Yeah, we do have a random team. Vets and young guys alike. Some are doing well, others are not. Jack Z has us with a Top 5 farm system as you've said but he's not so big with the free agents. Seager is a future star, he is indeed homegrown.
*sigh* both of our teams aren't so good this year. I still believe you guys can make a second half surge... The M's are screwed though, see last night's game and it's all the manager's fault. I want him gone. He only had one good season with the Indians in '07 and that was it...
Ahh so that's why it magically fixed. Awesome. Haha ikr? Our NFL thread breaks every other hour when the season starts rolling haha.
Tigers are doing alright, have a healthy lead in the division atm. However, the offense has cooled off lately, and the bullpen has been ass. Starting pitching has been exceptional, but a lot of these quality starts end up wasted because either the offense can't score any runs or the bullpen blows the leads. It's pretty disappointing.
You're a Brewers fan right? I'm having trouble remembering haha.
