I would say no. Remember when he fought the gorgon sisters, he showed true intelligence in that fight. I honestly think Luffy is a tad of an airhead when he doesn't have to NOT be, but likes to be laid back whenever he can be :)

Yes the show strong suit is the comedy it makes me smile from the start to finish in every episode .The anime is not focusing on the story for understandable reason but it has some stuff better and new to your typical harem.

Nothing major just didn't like how you imply the show has no story. Anyway if you are watching season 2 are gonna have plot and character development.
Didn't really mean anything by calling your post annoying i just typed it.
And if you actually posted stuff like ''Derp best anime evar...'' now that would be annoying :)

Well... that's quite an obvious question... xD Luffy is an idiot, but the best idiot ever!! xD >___< He is absolutly amazing! I remember I fall in love with One Piece because of him. Everytime he smiles with that silly smile makes me happy and I don't know why but he gives me strenght to keep on going. It's true that he may be an "idot" sometimes (only thinking about eating and having fun :P ) but that how he is, and he is the one that care the most for his friends, he is cheerful, you can always count on him, he is strong, childish and kindhearted. Luffy is awesome, and that's why I love him!! <3 <3

Unlike you I'm not up to date on One Piece but from what very little I've watched(Only 175 episodes so far) I say Luffy is a big idiot. He's always thinking about food and some of the things he says makes me wonder wow Luffy really? Lol but when it comes to fighting bad guys, helping/protecting his friends, and following his heart and his dream of finding the One Piece and becoming the King Of The Pirates, Luffy becomes wise beyond his years. Luffy is awesome! He's kind, cheerful, funny, strong, friendly and cares deeply for his friends.

Either Yume banned used the same email as another person who was banned or he really was Slayer545-sama and Angel999 who flamewar/trolled MAL a while back. Either way, a mod banned him (most likely because of a fight he had with two people only hours before).
We talked about it in the comments section on his club. Just go through the first two or three pages and you'll see it all.

Alright. Fairy Tail is really good. Natsu is kinda like Luffy. Both are idiots, care deeply for their friends, both love food, and they both start off strong and continue to get stronger.
