That is pretty much the same as me. :)
I have all of the Terminator, Bourne, and Lord of the ring movies on DVD. I only have the latest Star Wars movies though (The prequels). We seem to keep finding things in common when it comes to what we like.

We all watched anime before in your childhood. My case I took them all as mere cartoons. Pokemon, captain tsubasa and Detective conan were among my first anime ever watched.
It was around end of 2008 that I was able to differentiate among the 2.
Kinda the time I was introduced to the world of anime. ^ ^

The reason I asked this was that sometime ago I was discussing about a new season of Kaichou wa maid sama..great anime if you have not watched yet..highly recommended..:P
So she told me that Kaichou has its manga chapters released monthly.
I was like..WHUT!! o.O
1 week alone is enough to kill us with patience and now you're talking of one month!!
