I have trouble taking people who typ lyk dis seriously. In my mind people who do so are automatically 12 years old and I lose all (all right, MOST) respect for them. I don't care if you actually are 12 (no, this does NOT give you an excuse), this is a BAD THING

The unwritten laws governing MAL - what you are about to see here is TOP SECRET, but is in fact enforced throughout the site. Whether you may accept these or tremble in denial, there is no arguing the effectiveness of these laws
(1) The membercard law: Your favourite card(s) will be unavailable, never delivered, or limits will prevent you from attaining the ones you want
(2) The limited edition law: Nearly all LEs (SEs, etc.) will be opened while you are asleep, at school, work, or some other place where you will not have access to a computer. Likewise, the times when you are at the computer, nothing will be opened
(3) The limited edition law, part two: Say by a stroke of luck that only strikes once a month, you are online while a LE (SE, etc.) opens. Somehow you will be online the whole time and only discover it after it has closed. Chances are, you will discover it ~5mins after closing time
(4) The lag law: MAL will work perfectly fine ... unless you need it to work. Anime marathon? You won't be able to update for 3 hours. Manage to magically catch a LE? Nope, you will lage and your post will be bumped 5 places
(5) The maintenance law: While maintaining this website is obviously important, it will often occur at the most horrible times, such as when you have a day off school and marathoned two seasons of an anime. Similar to the law above, this law gives an excuse to further annoy "people who don't appreciate"
(6) The comment law: The people you chat with via profile commenting will nearly never be even close to the time zone you are in. This causes a strange phenomenon where your profile will be free of comments for the 6 hours you are online, then the next day you will have a page full of unread comments
(7) The over rating law: Horrible crap anime / manga will somehow attract a large number of "fans" who refuse to rate anything lower than a 12/10. This causes an inflated score which defies all human logic. Often caused by people who have no taste whatsoever, there is no current solution to this problem
(8) The under rating law: Similar to the above law, masterpieces are often hidden and overlooked, with only a handful of "haters" commenting saying how "dis 4nim3z sux0rz!11!1". Clearly, the awesomeness of said anime / manga was too extreme and caused severe brain damage with watchers / readers
(9) The claiming law, contributed by EnkoKasumi: If you intend to claim a character at a certain claiming club, due to an un-updated "already claimed" list, you shall repeatedly claim an already taken character, which will eventually result to not getting a banner at all
(10) The MALfunctioning law, contributed by amukid08: Will switch between functioning and crashing at intermittent periods; hard to predict whichever will occur. Common results include "MySLQ" error, freezing, and comments / posts being eaten by the MALstrosity
(11) The updating law, contributed by amukid08: Have a cool signature or profile picture you want to show off? Too bad. Upon refreshing, no changes will have been made - which leads to even more urgent refreshing of the "update" page ... ultimately leading to your untimely demise. Changes may or may not take place after a few days, depending on how MAL feels at the time
(12) The MALFilter law, contributed by AngelicXI: Whenever you got a badass or very cool designed new profile picture/avatar, the process of uploading will ruin it's quality and make it look like trash

Our club leader, Kuroyu, hasn't been on for a while, for some unknown reasons.
I have no idea what's gonna happen with the club in terms of events and claims.
