Honestly, I love this guys work but he is a total fucking dumbass... To sum up his life experiances he tried to commit suicide five or six times, his first wife cheated on him after he failed suicide with another woman whom he'd just met. So he attempted suicide with his wife and failed, but when he got remarried he had like 3 children with his next wife, attempting suicide a handfull of times in the process, and have another child with a fan of his, and abandon all of his wives and children to live with another woman he just met. That same year he wrote Ningen Shikaku, and commited suicide with his new lover.... Don't know if that story is sad or just plain pitiful.

Started reading "The Travels of a Purple Lamp", his attempt at an auto-biography. Wow, his face was covered in acne as a teenager, doesn't look like it from his older ages that he had acne. And he shared a lot of the traits with Oba from No Longer Human (putting up a facade). Actually, Osamu was like Oba in almost every repspect.

The third time he attempted to kill himself, was on my birthday. Makes me feel strangely connected to him. I loved reading No Longer Human and I just started reading The Setting Sun. Dazai's like a mentor to me in writing~
