I see utter shit like Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka and School Days, and then I see amazingly great works like Katanagatari and Jormungand. Probably the most uneven director in existence.

i think is pretty obvious now that he is a good director just never had the creative freedom to show it until he started working under White Fox.
