Tsuji was most active in the business from the 1960s through the 1980s, and worked as a script writer on many popular anime TV series for Mushi Production, Toei Animation, and Tokyo Movie Shinsha. Among the many popular series and films on which Tsuji worked as a scenarist include the anime adaptations of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Princess Knight, and Unico, Go Nagai's Devilman, Cutie Honey, and Dororon Enma-kun, and Yumiko Ōshima's The Star of Cottonland. (This person was also the screenwriter of "Arrow emblem grand prix no taka") Other popular anime series which credit Masaki Tsuji as a scenario writer include Kyojin no Hoshi, The Adventures of Pepero, Attack No. 1, Dr. Slump, Honey Honey, Majokko Megu-chan, Sabu to Ichi Torimono Hikae, Captain Future, Triton of the Sea, Gegege no Kitaro, Ikkyu-san, Himitsu no Akko-chan, Sally, the Witch, and Urusei Yatsura.
