so very talented. I believe his most recent work is on space dandy episode 10, one of the show's best episode. this guy has an eye for comedy and editing. SO, I agree with Marrilis (though I didn't like xam'd)

So, here we have a man, who had never before in his life directed an anime series.

Due to the promise he shows while still a rookie, Hayao Miyazaki handpicks him to be his assistant director on Spirited Away, the seminal Ghibli film and future Oscar winner.
Seven years later, Masayuki Miyaji appears as a true director for the first time. Now, what kind of story does he decide to adapt for his first big project? Is it a light-hearted one? Does he take the easy way and direct a simpler show, choosing instead to hone his craft slowly?

NO. He directs motherfucking BOUNEN NO XAMDOU.
(Not only that, he also acts as the episode director, scriptwriter AND storyboard artist.)
He brings to life a story of warring countries, undying love, friendship, religion, the search for self-fulfillment, the futility of war; all this WHILE fleshing out some of the most beautiful and inspiring characters in years, populating a dazzling, vibrant world.
Oh, yes, and he is also the first man to explore distribution of anime by means of Playstation Network.

I may have dragged this on a bit too long, but my points stands:
Masayuki Miyaji is a man to keep an eye on.
