This guy is somewhat like a prodigy of sorts : Abstract Realism conveyed with Meanings spoken through Actions rather than Words.

He's the Makoto Shinkai of awkward teenage experiences, brutal realities, and sexual introspection.

His works are beautiful, but they deal with the ugly things in life that other anime creators tend to avoid or overlook.

An astounding, daring filmmaker and I hope to see more from him.
