Ichirou Mizuki was a prolific Japanese vocalist, lyricist, and composer, best known for his work on tokusatsu and anime theme songs. Over the course of his career, he recorded over 1,200 songs for Japanese film, television, video, and video games. Fans and fellow artists alike referred to him as the Aniki of the anisong.

Mizuki formed the band JAM Project in July 2000 with fellow anisong artists Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, Eizou Sakamoto, and Rica Matsumoto. Due to his busy schedule, he became a part-time member in August 2002.

Mizuki died on December 6, 2022 due to lung cancer at the age of 74.
