She did a good job voicing Maka. I mean, Maka voice is not your usual teenage girl voice,she sound more tomboyish & confident. It reflects to Maka personality. So Chiaki-san, thank you for voicing Maka in SE :)

that's brilliant voice acting. to bring me to tears.
i have seen people criticize the voice acting, but they just don't know any better.
voice acting is all about portraying the characters' emotions. Maka is supposed to be small, plain, and innocent. but still clumsily musters enough courage to face all odds.
I think Omigawa Chiaki's performance was brilliant, and is one of the reasons i love Maka's character.

Eat shit, anybody who says she's a bad VA. Both Maka AND Jun are incredibly well played and Maka's voice breaks at the end/during "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"s were orgasmic.
I'm only commenting on this because of how appalled I really am at how much hate this girl is collecting. She's one of my favorite new voices and you're all little fags.

The makers of Soul eater want it to be that kind of voice, she want her voice that way and it is scripted, look at jun's voice at Natsu no Arashi its normal.
Maka's character is just boyish, that's why the makers of souleater wants it like that! understand?
Chiaki is a good seiyuu even for a newbie.
So stop your lame criticism, she is also human! >:(

Maka's voice was horrible. Why did they get such an amateur play a lead's part? It's worse because voice actors surrounding her were all a lot better than her. Her voice is not clear and she's bad at expressing emotion.
Actually, it really doesn't have to do with her being new, I've seen a lot of new people do well. She was just really bad.
She took away a potential viewer because her voice got on my nerves way too much.
However, I'd give it another chance if she got better in Soul Eater.
