kz (pronounced "k-zet") (also known as RE:NDZ) is one of the early authors of Hatsune Miku songs, and most of his works have become hits, starting with his debut, "Packaged." He is skilled at creating reverberant, technopop pieces with Hatsune Miku. Though he has not been active on Nico Nico Douga since late 2008, he did create the new songs "Far Away" and "Star Story" for the release of the July 2009 Sony PSP game "Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA", and it's July 29, 2010 sequel "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd".

kz is the sole member of the amateur music circle livetune who, in late 2007, released an a Vocaloid album titled "Re:package" at Comic Market 73. It was then resold by Victor Entertainment with a major circulation release on August 28, 2008, making it the first Hatsune Miku CD to be sold by a major label.

livetune was originally a 2 member unit, made up by kz and kajyuki. However, kajyuki left in 2008 to work at CAPCOM, leaving kz as the only member.

Weekender Girl is such a jam.

lol that comment of mine was excessively fanboyish. i've actually listened to egoist since leaving it and my perception of him has greatly improved. he's grown a lot as a composer/producer since his debut, the album my comment was directed at.

I like both ryo and kz. In fact, I'm the one that added both of their pages on here!

They're both great producers. ryo is probably more popular since he switched to a human vocalist and his style is more mainstream.

ryo is merely riding off the fact that cut & paste pop rock is so hot among otaku/weeaboos. kz's talent for really pure melodies and sparkling synths far exceeds anything ryo could ever hope to accomplish with the bland tuning and presets he uses. that said, it's a real shame to see kz slipping more and more into the formulaic pop single format with all the contract productions he's been doing for the last couple years. as much as i love transfer and tell your world, they're nothing in comparison to his earliest stuff like crosslight and yellow.

kz has always been my favorite vocaloid producer in the pop genre. it's funny that even though both ryo and kz made it big, kz is still kinda forgotten... If you even look on ryo's profile here, he's so loved.

I'll love you, at least, kz.
