Atsushi Ookubo is a Japanese manga artist known for Soul Eater and Fire Force. Ookubo started his career working as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series GetBackers. He also created artwork for the video game TCG Lord of Vermilion and also did some character designs in Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer.

He has a brother named Akira Ookubo who is also a mangaka and worked as an artist for the Samurai Eight series.

After finishing Fire Force, he self-proclaimed Kei Urana as his successor.
