Wow both game adaptations were garbage that sold better than expected, at least PSO2 was enjoyable so 4k is great success, but can't say for the other.

Looks like winter wasn't that bad from the sales. Even Schwarz is getting near 2k (good story but I thought muvluv was more popular than that).
Seems jp different tastes show, ones with some good qualities, Active Raid, Dagashi & Norn higher than expected. Rokugo nice, and earned their S2.
Rip Ajin. It's way better than most of winter. Well Netflix started 4/12 stream, so hope for int'l sales, or rumored high license fees from Netflix & China.

$20mil usd from Kekkai Sensen? Need S2.

As for the use of Vol.x, most anime are split into a certain number of discs, and these discs are labelled as Vol.1, Vol.2, etc. Vol.4 for Gochiusa?? consists of episode 7 and 8

Thank you Ejc, good info :)

And... KonoSuba is out of the list. At least they got #1 on first volume preliminary.

It'll be at #1 for a few months, but will drop down to #2 on July 5, when the sales of Koyomimonogatari Vol.1 are known. Nevertheless, KonoSuba is probably the biggest winner this season, as Koyomimonogatari is expected to sell at least 20K based on the Stalker sales projection.
Based upon expectations indeed KonoSuba is the biggest winner of the season by far. Selling 3K would have been quite decent so selling four times as much, even if it is only three times as much once the average comes down is an absolutely wonderful result.

Koyomimonogatari while very good at 20K+ sales is a far cry from where the Monogatari franchise sold years ago. Owarimonogatari is only going to average around 26K or so which shows the series, while still a hit is in decline and has been for quite some time. Well down from when it used to sell 80K, 60K, 42K, 35K... Owari and Koyomimonogatari are disappointments in that regard selling less than 30K.

Hi, I'm a newbie,
can someone please tell me what does it means by "Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?? Vol.4" ?

Is it really that people are buying a CD for each episode and by saying "Vol.4" you just mean episode #4 or a group of episodes?

Or is it some additional unseen episodes/specials that wasn't in the two seasons of this show please?

Again, I'm new to all that stuff and really love this show so don't want to miss anything, and it will be good to learn what it means in general.

The thread title says BD and DVD, so the sales here do not represent CDs.

As for the use of Vol.x, most anime are split into a certain number of discs, and these discs are labelled as Vol.1, Vol.2, etc. Vol.4 for Gochiusa?? consists of episode 7 and 8, which can be verified by looking at the sales entry on Amazon JP:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B016ON6FOG/

Some anime do include extras bundled with BD/DVD volumes or specials not included in the TV Anime broadcast. For this particular Gochiusa?? volume, these are the extras included:

第4巻 【初回限定特典】
★録り下ろし・新曲CD「千夜&シャロ/やきもち風味のカモミール」

★原作者・Koi先生描き下ろし特製アウターケース
★キャラクターデザイン・奥田陽介描き下ろし特殊パッケージ仕様
★特製ブックレット
★イラストカード

Oh my Norn9 sold over 2,561 dvd's that makes me super happy because I thought Japan didn't like the anime x'D even if 2,561 isn't much please make season 2 happen Japan I need more KakeruxKoharu moments <3

As for Nijiiro days even if it's partial sales 166 is terrible :( I really hope teenage girls start buying more when the anime comes out I wouldn't want it to be a flop and the studio canceling a possibility of a season 2 near the future.

Damn, Ajin did CGI well imo but sales are still shit.

Guess it was too edgy and not moe enough for Japan.

It's not crap, it was very good. That you have not liked or did not understand it does not make a bad anime was my favorite last season with Genroku Shouwa Rakugo Shinjuu also it was very true to the game. Not like Phantasy Star Online 2 The Animation, which was not true to the game, but it sold more than Divine Gate.

Apr 19, 2016 5:40 PM by Seky

Ajin had great animation and I really enjoyed it, but I am kinda surprised that sales are THAT low. I was expecting like at least 1k.

Please god if you do exist you would make a Gochuumon Season 3

Season 3 of Is The Order A Rabbit? please.

And... KonoSuba is out of the list. At least they got #1 on first volume preliminary. Any news on how the volume 2 preorders go? Is it as high as the first volume? Or is it true that people only buy first volume to get the game?

Anyway, it's surprising to see Divine Gate so high in rank. Probably because it has less competition this week.

Hard to imagine.. Expelled From Paradise animation style is the future of anime
GG Toei

Same thing with Arpeggio...if u see the cadenze movie..it is god like...the cgi is not a bad format..it is the people who used it....they used it badly for ajin...same thing with 2d animation..you got good ones as well as bad ones.

Mfw World Trigger actually showed up on the rankings. I'm just glad the series is making money =3=

Divine gate wasn't liked enough for them to buy disks, I thought it was fairly liked by all the polls :(

Ajin XD
Popular manga getting full cg treatment doesn't sit well I guess.

Maybe you are the one, and one of those people, who should stop complaining for the wrong reason. Ton of these people wasted their time and effort on making anime for every one but all you could do was complaining for your own selfish taste. Not everyone good at drawing 2D and yet these people still want to make anime too. Please try to understand the others before dumping your feeling on everyone else.
