25 Year Old Man Arrested For Threatening VA Kadowaki Mai

Nihon TV News reported that a 25 year old jobless man was arrested for threatening seiyuu Kadowaki Mai. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he sent her office a letter "I'll kill your parents within a month." last November. The man has confessed to the crime and said he was a fan of Kadowaki.

According to Mainichi Online, he sent the threatening letter because he believed an anonymous post in a BBS saying Kadowaki is committing adultery. He deposed that he couldn't forgive (the rumor of ) her illicit love as her fan.

Strange strange people to get flipped out over what was probably a fake rumour, they get generated on the internet all the time.

This kind of thing is common everywhere that has any kind of celebrity. The saddest part is that in most of the cases, the crazy "fan" succeeded in killing someone.
I will never understand how loving someone so much would lead to that kind of action...just goes to show that something isn't wired right :(
