New CG Movie 'Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary' Due Summer 2014

Toei Animation announced today that the new anime movie for the "Saint Seiya" franchise is now due for theatrical release in early summer 2014. The movie will be done in CG and the title is "Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary." It will cover the Sanctuary arc and will be directed by Satou Keiichi.

Saint Seiya was written by Kurumada Masami from 1986 to 1990 and has since spawned multiple spinoff manga, TV anime series, OVAs, movies, and even stage musicals. Kurumada Masami has taken up the role of Chief Producer for this movie. Kurumada commented, "'Legend of Seiya' started from here!"

Zodiac Temple arc didnt need a remake, it was fine as it was, would have liked a remake of Elysium since the fight with Hades, Thantaos an Hypnos were lame
at least we get to see more Camus, Shaka, Aiolia an Saga
hopefully Toei d put more effort on this movie than what they did with Omega

If the CG is like FFVII and Captain Harlock, why not? With its original creator as chief producer, I hope they don't mess this up one way or another.

A bit of new info. that not sure if it's worth it: "The technology that used for the CG has 3D effect." (I'm not so sure if I translated that correctly)

Really cool if it will be a reboot, I wanted to watch the series for some time but the original it's too long and I don't have time to marathon it.

Right, the Zodiac Temples Chapter was already covered in TV series I believe.

Also the MAL DB http://myanimelist.net/anime/10687/Saint_Seiya_Legend_of_Sanctuary puts the airing date as July 2014 but so far the announcement only says "Early summer", so please beware.
