FUNimation, why you keep licensing shit?

Where are my Steins;Gate BDs?

NIS will pick those up eventually.

I'm not surprised about Sankarea, it's a popular anime this season. I wonder if Nyaruko-san will get licensed, since it's up there in popularity with Sankarea despite the horrible MC.

Funi has the rights to Steins;Gate and even if NIS did get it we would still have to wait (well shorter since it would be subbed instead of dubbed) cause Japan fears reverse importation.

Presumably the two things are linked.

It is cause I heard that Shangri La was being released in August by Funi and it should be on their website and youtube soon if it is already not.

1. Because this "shit" sells. Fanservice shows are what tend to do the best these days, and considering the success of High School of the Dead, you can't blame them for jumping at this.

Critically acclaimed but oscure shows like The Tatami Galaxy are risky. Stuff like Sekirei sells out.

2. In Japan. The companies in Japan have not sent them materials to begin working on Steins;Gate yet. The reason being they're trying to prevent reverse-importation. This Fall or next Spring is when we probably will see Steins;Gate. The last volume came out in February in Japan.

Sankarea is a good pick up; even if only just started it looks like its gonna be a good adaption; first episode stayed true enough to the manga at least.

Sankarea is great !

Raildex where?

Funimation should slow down with hoarding licenses and actually release some of the stagnating titles that they've previously acquired.

Rewatched Shangri-La a few months ago. I'd have to say that while Gonzo could have made a better adaptation, the show definitely had a very rich futuristic setting. The mystery and supersition of Atlas was an interesting concept and could have been explained better.
Damn right!
