Spin-off Novel of 'Another' Announced

Ayatsuji Yukito announced on his twitter that he will write a spin-off novel of Another titled "Another ~ episode of S" (tentative). He is also planning to write a sequel to the main story.

An OVA of Another will be released in May. The past story of Mei and her cousin Fujioka Misaki will be revealed. Igarashi Hiromi will voice Misaki.

...and it's here... full sized novel, not light novel so no illustrations except for the dust jacket shown above and it was plastic wrapped and contained two illustrated postcards (1st press bonus?), one the same as the dust jacket, the other by another illustrator but also of Misaki Mei but this time without her eyepatch.

The introduction starts with Misaki Mei asking if she should tell Sakakibara-kun about that summer story he didn't know about... if he wants to ask about it... but I think I'll open a thread in the novel forum for spoilers. There is no home page for the Another Episode S book yet (I requested one) so I can't create a forum for it yet. I will create a forum in the old Another novel for now and will create a new one when the new novel page is created by a mod.

Mine 'shipped' today but it seems it wasn't actually picked up yet so sadly I shall have to wait until Tuesday to read it most likely :(

The sequel is coming from the original writer though, so it might not be bad. And we might see more of this anime as well!

The sequel will probably be about another Class 3, it makes sense.

yah, sequels dont always have to include the same cast and a continuation of the plot, it could be a prequel about sakakibara's mom's class, which ide be interested in for sure
