Producers of Horizon Face Difficulty in Handling the First Three Episodes

In an extra booklet bundled with the second volume of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Blu-ray, a report of an interview with the director, the series composer, and the novel author was published. In the interview, director Ono Manabu said the script of the first three episodes had been the biggest obstacle.
Series composer Urahata Tatsuhiko said it was difficult to deal with the first volume of the original novel. Most of the production staff felt tiresome to read the first half of the volume although they couldn't stop reading it through the latter half. Urahata was aware that the episodes 2 and 3 were not attractive as an anime. However he didn't omit them because they were indispensable for the climax of the story. Ono was anxious if the shuffled timeline of the events and the lack of action scenes in the episodes 2 and 3 could repel the audience, so he felt relieved to see the excitement of the fans after episode 4.

Even if it does end up as another generic harem

There's no reason at all to believe this would be the case based on what has been seen thus far. The main couple is very very clearly established.

^This.

Yeah this anime is not harem, idk where you got that from..

Obviously the boobs.

Like Kimi said, Even if her dances are related to eroticism, but that doesn't mean she's "open" to anybody. This also applies to the anime, even though this animes has big boobs doesn't mean that it's going to be a stupid ecchi harem anime.

Heck the ecchiest part is probably when Asama is bathing., besides that it's just common academy uniform, and Kimi's boobs.

No wonder I dropped Horizon. The first portions even made the staff yawn and roll their eyes.

Good sign? Maybe I should pick it back up. Even if it does end up as another generic harem, this solidifies what I've been told.

Even though this series was really confusing I'm glad i stuck with it. Once you know whats going on its actually quite enjoyable. Glad to see they stuck with the light novel, it means season 2 will be good

I am not very familiar with it, but it's an interesting read at best.

With a novel thick enough to kill a person, well .. it's not even a Light Novel goddamnit!

The overall Anime wasn't too bad for me. My only complaint was the fact that the main character was in less than 50% of the Anime. Oh and the opening was so misleading... (I thought he was going to be some sort of god with some awesome powers!) Oh man was I wrong... -o-

every episode is fun to watch

nothing wrong with anything of it

I guess they're just advertising? "Hey, look, this is so hard to make because it is so good and complex." ?
My opinion may be wrong here, but it's what first came to me... Feel free to tell(and explain to) me where I'm wrong if you think so...:)

advertising in the 2nd Bluray Bonus that has been bought by more than 22k people in Japan and keep increasing?

nope, the director just want to say how relief he is that the show got a great responses from the viewer after episode 4

and basically this show almost doesn't need advertising anymore, a lot of haters help us advertising this show,

true story. . .

yeah that show was iffy in the begining... but then again... the only episodes i realy cared about were the ones with the fight scenes...

Jan 29, 2012 9:50 PM by Neverarine

Guess that's why I didn't like the show at first.
I even gave it a chance until I dropped it at Ep 7.

There. There you go. This right here. This is why I found it hard to follow and found it slowly boring me.

Jan 29, 2012 5:31 PM by StarPebblit

I guess it can't be helped if the original material has a boring start.

I only watched the first episode, I couldn't continue, I will try my best to watch it and see how this anime sucks.
