According to the official website, a 3D CGI movie ".hack//The Movie" was announced to be premiered in January 2012.

Story:
In 2024, the computer network prevails throughout the daily life. Arishiro Sora is a 14 year old girl. One day, she is invited to an online game "The World". After an accident in the game, the real world begins to deform.

No seriously. WHY does she have to be a Kite rip-off? That's really irritating. Would it kill them to make some new character designs already?

Of course I will still watch this. Because it's .hack and this franchise owns my soul, and I'm sure I'll be able to look past it. But at the moment, ugh. It's kind of disappointing.

i wasn't excited about the 3D CGI at first, but when i saw the website i was like, omg wow that was nice, the redhead is SOOOOOOO CUTEEEEEEE!!!! i hope there will be a yaoi twist between him and the boy with glasses, lol kidding,

im really looking forward to this KYAAAAAAAAAAA XD

From the trailer, it looks decent enough. Although I still prefer the non-CGI Kite template.

The CGI is unnecessary, just do it like it was done with Baby Princess, besides that, it should be a good watch like most .hack anime.

looks interesting, but did the main character have to be a Kite knock-off again? A new character design shouldn't really be asking too much but they could copy a different character once in a while (or at least change the colours).
