Second Season of Panty & Stocking Is Up To the Director

In the 20th track of the original sound track CD (14:27~), Panty implied the second season of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. However, Stocking denied it saying"no, no, it hasn't been fixed yet!" at the end of the track and added "but practically speaking, it may be up to the director Imaishi?"

Panty: Hey Stocking! I heard our anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt has got the green light for a sequel thanks to the big hit!
Stocking: What? Who the hell did decide that?
Panty: Speaking of a sequel .... (Blah-blah-blah) How about a trilogy? (Blah-blah-blah) let's go into the one hundredth season!! Hollywood remake is not a dream!
Stocking: Hey wait, Panty!
Panty: This planet is too small for us! Panty in the Space! (Blah-blah-blah)
Stocking: Shit!
Panty: So when will it start?
Stocking: How should I know, shitty bitch!
Panty: The next episode, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Season two!
Stocking: Hey hey hey, wait! I told you it hasn't been decided yet! But, practically speaking, it could be up to the director Imanishi?

The second season was implied at the end of the final episode.

There has been no official announcement regarding the new season yet.

What do you base this one? It can't be based on the sales of the first season, which is the only thing it should be based on...

Well, you gotta remember that a lot of people don't follow the sales. To a person who only knows anime popular among Westerners, it probably seems like it made lots of money to them since it was really popular over here. Of course, theres different standards of what people want out of anime by culture, and the Japanese didn't like the series so they didn't buy it, but I don't blame more casual fans for not knowing that.

I dont even see how that would be possible stocking killed panty at the end for the first season then said she was a demon the whole time. Did anyone forget about that little tid-bit of info lol.

Panty and Stocking was a great anime. It was hilarious, interesting and starting with the last episode... suspenseful. They need to make a second season! They purposely left us wanting more with all those plot twists in the ending! If they leave it there, that would be the worst anime ending ever.
