Both have really interesting love triangles and I think the male lead are pretty similar in both mangas

Hana Yori Dango and Crossroad both have female leads who at first are quiet and feel they'll be better off alone but as the story progresses they both open themselves up and become strong with the help of the people surrounding them. They both have a sort of forbidden romance (hana yori dango has it later on) and the main female has multiple guys crushing on her.

This both has the main love interest living in the same home and going to the same school. The love interests are both opposites. both are masterpieces

Both teacher student relationship. Both have confused girl that cries pretty often but tries to act tough. Both have perverted teachers that are really attractive. Both have the perverted friend of the perverted teacher. And they both have the other boys that are also involved in the romantic drama and are usually interested in her. Therefore these mangas are really equivocal of each other. If you like one you WILL like the other.

Both are shoujo manga with a "thought". Slow progress, various kinds of relationships, great three-dimentional characters. All in all, both are great coming of age stories.

They both begin with a normal girl, but ends up a forbidden relationship with a stepbrother, romance plentiful, although The Devil does Exist seems to be a bit more shoujo centered, and brings in more characters and pairings.

Crossroad doesn't really have a love triangle, but it's similar to Auto Focus. Both manga also have an indecisive but determined heroine, an intelligent love interest, and a similar art style.

teacher x student relationship

They are both stories about not blood-related siblings that love each other. They are both really cute, but Crossroad has a different view, more adult (actually I liked it better). If you liked one, you'll enjoy the other one for sure.
