This weirdly entertaining story is about Yume Katsumi, a sincerely honest and stup- I mean nice girl who falls in love with a Shoubu, the new kid at a neighboring school and notorious ex gang leader. To put it simply it’s the story of Yume winning Shoubu’s heart. Then after she wins it, it’s about, through unusual circumstances, them staying together or breaking apart.

It’s a weird day in hell when I’m halfway through the manga and I think, “this is where it usually ends…why isn’t it ending?”
The I start doing a mental checklist of things that usually mark it as a finale:

Heart Manga is such a wonderfully paced story?! It has the typical stupid, innocent hearted and clumsy main girl with the Ex-yankee boyfriend!? They fall in love and begins their trials and tribulations of their love life!?

It has a nice pace!? You will start to fall in love with the main character after reading it awhile!? The art is abit old for my taste however, you will like the guys cause they are SOOOOO HOT, BISHES?!

Anyways if you want a story with comedy, love and abit of drama with some fighting scenes this is the manga for you!?

I really enjoyed it!?

Hope you read more

Having read other reviews of it, I can understand why some don't really like this manga. The author, Rie Takada, spins a story which could have been resolved in one volume, into ten. Its a classic thing she tends to do in most of her mangas, I admit, and its rather easy to skip a few chapters and still not lose yourself as the majority are 'filler' chapters.

Having said that, I can't deny that I definitely enjoyed Heart, and while my brain says I shouldn't enjoy it, my 'heart' says I should.

Takada has two main characteristics in her works. One is the factor I've already read more

User Recommendations

Both are about nice girls and bad boys with motorcycles. Mars tends to be more serous drama where Heart is more lighthearted and comedic
Both have the "bad boy" element with in it.
A really innocent girl falls for a gang leader who rides a motorcycle, but he is actually a really good person with a good heart. The boys in both will give you your fill of bishieness.
Both manga contains good/pure/innocent girls dating scary but good looking delinquents. Both the boys also have a soft spot for the heroine.

Mamotte Agemasu and Heart are both ecchi although MA is much smuttier.
In both manga, the main character desperately tries to make the guy she likes fall for her.
Both are cold hearted guys in the beginning.
Both girls are naive and simple.
Both are very cute and funny.
Both mangas have the same concept of innocent girl meets "bad boy" although kaikan phrase is more mature.
