Stories about young children that ended up joining a freak show troupe. Both manga are intended for older audience as they contain considerable explicit content.

Not only the level of writing is similar, but also the idea and the execution. While most moments may seem meaningless, pure shock value and fan service,…Well, they actually are. Also, the romance element clearly is transparent, where EM is as clear as day and shares lots of similarities with Shoujo Tsubaki, the totally healthy and romantic relationship that if you’re a shipper you gonna love it. Sadly both series miss romance tag(and comedy tag as well, typical MAL).

Both of them are stories about grim reality with mystic. They`re weird. And in both cases wishes come true.
