SynopsisConsists of three stories:
Story 01: Boys Next Door
Lawrence is a young male prostitute whose actual aim was to look for his brother. Unknowingly, he did find his brother - the owner of the young boys prostitute club. However, his life was about to change when he witnessed the killing of one of the biggest serial killers - Dr. Wolfgang Adrian Clay. Instead of running away, he searches for the murderer and falls in love with him. Adrian, who is basically a nice person (he is a school teacher) takes in Lawrence and reciprocates Lawrence's love, but Lawrence's brother was not too happy about losing a possible money tree and sends out his gang in search of Lawrence.
Story 02: Devil Inside
Every once in a while someone in the Randall family is a vampire, and this time it's Rick. Ever since his Birthday he'll have to learn to deal with the devil inside himself or else.
Story 03: When a Heart Beats
All Ted wanted was a guitar. But the price he paid to get one was a young girl's life. Many years later he meets her again. (Source: M-U) |

Well, being one of the great Kaori's works it sadly is not the best. A short 3 mangas long and somehow she managed to pack the darkness in deep. A young male [teens] has been forced into prostitution by his older brother the leader of a prostitute and drug ring. Recently many prostitutes have been found dead due to other main character who is a school teacher in the day and a serial killer at night. They intertwined and end up in a twisted relationship; love, hate, sex, and all that jazz. This series ends quite abruptly, it's unfortunate just as you crave more or some huge twist, it ends. Not Kaori's best but still a good read if your a fan of her dark tales and phenomenal artwork. read more

i must say i'm a huge kaori yuki fan and this work like her other mangas is absolutely beautiful. It combines all typical yuki's ingridients like tragedy, gothic, cute guys etc and mixes them into this very touching yaoi manga.
i highly recommend it!

They're related not in art or plot, but the way they make you feel about the diferences of two people and how they can bring them together. They also put me trog the same fellings as i was reading them.
