Synopsis

Something strange is going on in "Soil New Town." The sudden disappearance of a seemingly normal family leads the two detectives Yokoi and Onoda to the idyllic town in the middle of nowhere. What looks like a routine case at first quickly turns into a complex and deadly riddle where nothing is what it seems to be. Will the two disparate investigators manage to solve the mystery before it's too late?

I have to say, this is my first time reading something like this... It's what you called DIFFERENT.

Story:
A FAIR 6
The story is based on your, kinda mystery a bit of detective like genre and starts off with a missing person. It then carries on and gets intense as strange things start to happen to the two detectives that have came to investigate. The unexpected and did i read right that 'aliens' called the 'foreign organisms' have like came to invade this town called 'Soil''? It makes you think...

WTH is wrong with this town?

I rated this a fair, as the plot does make sense read more

User Recommendations

Centered around a town and its strange and creepy happenings.
+ Both feature a male and female main character, who are detectives
+ Both have very similar settings, with strong Mystery undertones
+ Both take place mainly in 'contemporary' Japanese-style neighbourhoods
+ Similar 'dark' Seinen atmosphere
+ Both make use of black humour

- Paranoia Street (PS) has a much more light-hearted and casual approach to its plot than Soil does
- PS has more elements of the Adventure genre than Soil
- PS reads more like a collection of cases, as opposed to Soil's linear plot
- Soil has much more character development
- The female protagonists have drastically different personalities and physical appearances
- The male protagonists have drastically different personalities and physical appearances
