Chocolate Kiss Kiss is just like its title leads us to believe: very sweet.
First thing's first, to have a broader understanding of the events that take place of this one-shot and to understand the characters better, I recommend that you read Even If We're Not Friends and If I Kiss Her Ring Finger before attempting to read this one. This is the third installment of the Nana and Hitomi series that have been have published in the Yuri Shimai and Yuri Hime magazines. So if you want to have full enjoyment of this lovely little one-shot, do read its prequels.
This story continues from where we left off in If I Kiss Her Ring Finger. Nana is still very insecure about her relationship with Hitomi, but she wants to give her a wonderful Valentine's Day present. And a lot of silly and romantic things happen as Nana attempts to give Hitomi some chocolate.
The art is still very good. A lot of detail on the character art and the backgrounds. The girls are very cute and the backgrounds are nicely drawn.
Character. It's great to read a series where the characters continually grow and develop both as individuals and as a couple. Nana is still that worried, nervous and insecure girl she was, but that's just her personality. And the realism of her feelings and thoughts are all apparent. Though she's getting slowly better, I must say, and with help from Hitomi.
Now, Hitomi. Here's a character who I will forever marvel at. She doesn't even appear as much as Nana does, but she really does have a strong presence in the manga. She remains as cool as ever, beautiful, playful and still is ever-sexy. But there's more to her. We can see her love for Nana is deep, and that Hitomi is just as fragile as Nana--maybe even more so. I love these two as individuals, and I love them even more as a couple.
And I will forever love this series because it is so unusual by yuri manga standards. Sure, compared to other romance manga, it's pretty simple, but it's defining a new era for yuri manga. We're no longer getting two girls whose love will remain unrequited, who can't be together, who don't want to be together because they think their feelings are "disgusting". We're not getting the traditional yuri where one dies and the other pledges to live on in misery. No, the Nana and Hitomi series centre around two functional girls and their having a normal, loving relationship with one another.
I totally recommend this to anyone, especially to young lesbians out there, to read. It's happy yuri, if you can believe. read more

another cute shouja ai one shot

It's by the same mangaka and shares the same general concept. The one girl is slightly shy and the other is outgoing and confident.
