Adarushan no Hanayome (Manga)

From a romance lover point of view, I'd say that the romance here is near 0. In fact, I'm still wondering up until now why this is tagged as romance given the fact that there is only a chapter left for it to end. Though it's given that way, I really do enjoy reading this manga.

The story took place in a fantasy kingdom where there is war. And to avoid more bloodshed, a treaty has been agreed upon by the two kingdoms involved - marriage. Indeed, the prince and the princess of the opposing countries then got themselves in a political marriage. Sounds familiar, right? But their edge on this kind of "rusty" plot is the age of the princess - she's just 10 years old. The grade I've given to the story is 8 which is pretty high. The reason behind that is not because I have a thing for lolicons (which is the exact opposite, thank you very much) but rather for the phasing of the story. The princess is just 10 years old and with that age, the love/affection she's showing to the other party is considerable of her age.

I find it hard to judge the art simply because I talk IT in me. I am in no position to judge whatsoever since I am not someone who can magnificently draw something. Obviously, since it's a good drawing... I easily give it a 10.

For the character, I have given it a perfect 10 simply because character development is very much present. Moreover, the development of characters is neither rapid nor slow considering the length of the manga which is 2 volumes only. Because of this, the manga is really amazing and it won't bore you out.

As I've stated above, I really enjoy reading this manga. It's such a shame that there isn't much romantic development between the main characters. But I guess, I wouldn't be able to take it if there's much on romance considering the age of the lead female character. Also, I find it refreshing to read since this 10 year old girl can act maturely, still with consideration of her age of course!

Even though on onemanga.com they only have up to chapter 3 out, I really enjoy this manga! The art is wonderful and I've already fallen in love with the Prince! *faints* The characters are mysterious and makes you want to know more about the story. And it is an interesting tale!

Summary:: To settle a war between 2 rival countries, The Prince of one land must marry The Princess of the rival land. Only problem? She's only 10!!

:D It's really good so far and I can't wait to see what happens next!!

Contrary to the summary, the overall plot has very little to do with the relationship between the girl and the prince, it more focuses on the politics of a faltering monarchy. Even the end doesn't really tell much about their feelings, and when your done, it leaves you with a feeling of dissatisfaction. I would recommend looking for a different manga if you want a good romance.

Well this is actually me first review even though i have been on MAL for nearly a year back to the topic. The manga is one i quite enjoyed and actually hoped it continuied as it is quite good. the story has very good pontential but it is not exploited.

Story
the story is well set and if the aurthor wished this manga could have been turned into something like 20 chapters at least. the story is too open ended at the end but never the less it is still amazing. the story has a lot of untaped pontentials if they were brought out this would be at least a 9 if not 10 for the score

Art
i am not a art person but i believe the characters are all well drawn as there was a cover picture of the princess in an older form and her younger form and you can tell with only thr face alone. i didnt have problems recognising people like i do in other manga.

Character
The main characters' fears and joys are expressed very well and you can fell for them. i mean the princess is engaged to someone who she hates with a passion. this passion is brought out of the character in such a way that someone her age would do but yet she still has a air of maturity round her so we know she IS a princess. Alexid is not really bother by the engagement as he has other things he fear (will not go into details as i think it is a spoiler) this fear it part of the main story and is brough out very well.

Enjoyment
i absolutly enjoyed this but i really wished it continued till she was much grown up so that the fact that she is a child no longer hinders them. i also like the king although i would have liked to know the plan he was planning for Alexid

Overall
i loved it but it only lasted 8 chapters which is a pain as i read it all in under two hours read more
