Ecchi titles with a story! Who knew! Both of these love stories involve two main characters in their high school years with a twist. Nozoki Ana involves voyeurism while Nana to Kaoru involves BDSM. However, both have great character and nice stories. While both are ecchi with adult-content, in general, Nozoki Ana has far more mature content and themes while Nana to Kaoru will feel more simplistic.

If you're into BDSM, then either one of these will satisfy you because the main characters like to satisfy their sexual desires by committing lewd acts to each other while keeping their relationship a secret. The romance in each of these is subtle though; you can definitely see it developing as the story progresses.

By a chance, the protagonist finds out his classmate, a top class student, is into BDSM, and so a kinky romcom starts of. Both contain explicit imagery, as one would expect.

BDSM is prevalent in both of these mature titles.

Both stories feature a pair of highschool students who are brought into a strange relationship because of their fetishes. Although there's a lot of kinky stuff going on, neither go "all the way." Expect a lot of teasing and sexual frustration.

Much BDSM in both manga. Kangoku gakuen is farcical and has a realistic art style, albeit super ecchi. Compared to Nana, which is all ecchi/borderline hentai.
reportRecommended by reluctantbeeswax
Both tell the story of an outcast/unpopular high-school aged male character and an ojyousama-type high-school aged female and their introduction to BDSM, the difference being in Nana to Kaoru it's the male introducing BDSM to the female. NtK would be considered the more intense of the two; containing scenes of predicament bondage and full-gear pet play.

Known for their ecchi gimmicks, Nana to Kaoru and Hantsu x Trash has your typical MC who gets acquainted with some very attractive women. In both series, they get into very controversial circumstances with them that almost always gets them into trouble. Additionally, there is a very peculiar chemistry that develops between the MC and the main female character. Hantsu x Trash is also known for its additional element of water sports.

Futari Ecchi is to "normal" sex as Nana to Kaoru is to BDSM. Essentially both series are geared towards educating their readers of their premise.

If you're looking for some manga that has focus on shibari, you might be interesting in those.
reportRecommended by abystoma2
Both manga's have the same mangaka with very similar art work and character design. Both stories involve a very unlikely couple who at first may seem not to get along much but deep down they care a lot for one another. Both manga's have a high content of ecchi scene's with a good mix of comedic segments throughout the narrative.

By a chance meeting, a boy and a girl starts to engage in BDSM play, including shibari and more complicated techniques than usually shown in media.

Kimi wa Midari na Boku no Joou is about two childhood friends who have a secret relationship. Nana to Kaoru is also about the secret relationship between two child friends. Both Female Heroines are the "idol of the school" and both male leads are unwanted and looked down upon.

Both about BDSM navigating relationships. Moral Sense aka The Sensual M has a more comedy focus and is not as Raunchy as Nana to Kaoru but both titles are full of tense enjoyable in their own right. Relationship balances of Dom and Sub are explored, and both reiterate how important consent it in any play. Sensual M has a Male Sub in Samuel and Female Dom in Samantha while Nana is the title Sub and Kaoru is the Dom both titles are about building those relationships and boundaries.

Nana To Kaoru, and Black Label is one of the best manga series i have ever read through. It has a lot of emphasis on thoughts and feelings, and let you fully understand what the characters are going through, while still being funny. And while the subject of the manga is strongly affected by BDSM (domination and bondage, and slight humiliation), it does so without being dirty have offering stupid fan service everywhere. It is truly a masterpiece. If you want story, and character progression. And maybe even a little romance, this is without doubt a must read! And read the manga!!!! The Anime OVA doesnt  read more

Both use their own unique concept for initiating sexual moments. The "breaks" in Nana or the equivalent to the "challenges" in Gaishuu. If you enjoyed one you will enjoy the other.

Nana to Kaoru and Ore no Himegutsu wo Haitekure both focuses on a main protagonist with a fetish, and draws the way they deal with it and use it through expressing their love for it, both through their respective heroines. Himegutsu's Nishimura Shousuke's story may seem short, but it does start to delve into the subject in a similar direction to Nana to Kaoru, by putting it to use in their life. Himegutsu's art is cleaner than Nana to Kaoru's, but it does not have the depth and intricacies that tells a story just by the art.

Both feature the difficultys of SM. One side discovers that she is either S or M. Kanojo is a yuri and Kaoru normal.

Similar concept as both titles revolves around relationship between introverted short guy and tall bishoujo. Nana To Kaoru present this concept with a bit of kinky twist

Features the main character's of both manga's being a pervert in secret not wanting anyone to find out. Both involve a love triangle filled with some very high moments and very low and depressing moments for the MC's Both stories demonstrate that its hard for the characters to show their true self and how to express there feelings to one another. The stories have Drama, Romance, school, and seinen elements

Two characters get to know each other through BDSM. Both titles are borderline hentai.

Dorei-ku is about slave/master game, people challenge each other and the winner is the master and the loser is the slave. Their is a lot of strong themes and not a light manga to read, it's not for everyone. Nana to Kaoru is about the SM relationship, two childhood friends engage in breathers. It follows the emotions of Kaoru Sugimura and the connection with his slave/partner Nana. These to mangas explorer different parts of SM, "Nana to Kaoru" is more about the Slave's relationship and care, the softer side of SM whereas "Dorei-ku: Boku to 23-nin no Dorei" is more about the Master's control, people are  read more

The premise of both series is fundamentally focused on S&M practices.
reportRecommended by radiantfire
The main couples in these two titles share a hidden relationship that is strongly held by BDSM priniciples, particularly dominance and subordination.
reportRecommended by radiantfire
Both of these ecchi titles primarily revolve around a secret relationship between the male and female leads. In Nana to Kaori, the relationship is tied to BDSM activities. In Nozomi x Kimio, the relationship is tied to voyeurism and exhibitionism.
reportRecommended by radiantfire
Both series are based on sadism and masochism. However, Nana to Kaoru is more mature oriented than MM! which is more comedic. Also the roles are reversed. In Nana to Kaoru a female is the masochist which is different from MM! who has a male masochist.
reportRecommended by radiantfire
An integral focus in both series is the use of BDSM to develop the connection between the male lead and the female lead. In Nana to Kaoru, BDSM is associated with experimentation and curiosity. In Koibito Play, BDSM is treated as an avenue to showcase one's inner self. Expect mature themes.

Both are from Ryuta Amazume who tries to get with Nana to Kaoru on the next "stage" of his Work.

One of the actual recommendations that make sense. In both of these manga the girls go through humiliation which they eventually come to enjoy. In Kimiiro it's photography and in Nana to Kaoru it's S&M fetish. If you enjoyed one, you'll definitely like the other as they give off a similar setting.
reportRecommended by workisnotfun
Both Hen Zemi and NtK deal with a lot of psychological behavior of perverts and fetishists. Hen Zemi is certainly geared towards a higher comedic value and far less on any relationship value, but for anyone who is into the psychology aspect, this one is for you.

Co-Ed is a hentai, but still the couple in it are in a S&Mish relationship. This manga is also funny, so really i think any Nana to Kaoru fan would enjoy it.

Main characters engage in S&M In Nana to Kaoru, male lead is a "S" In SS Sisters, male lead is a "M"
reportRecommended by Jackster27
Both manga contain themes of building a connection between boy and girl through S&M and gradual understanding of each other's repressed emotions.
reportRecommended by ErgoSis
Both female main characters have similar personalities, while they are pretty normal at school, Mitsuru is a Masochits trying to hide her problem and Nana discover she likes to releaf her frustrations taking partd in a SM relationship with her childhood friend.
reportRecommended by Mimi-mimi
The main male character is very sadistic, while the girl is a helpless masochist. This is more on the humorous side, but it has romance :)
