Both of these titles revolve around a male and female lead who share a secret sexual relationship together. In Nozoki Ana, it is voyeurism and exhibitionism. In Nana to Kaoru, it is BDSM. 

In both manga, the male and female leads established perverted relationship with each other, and these works portray the unusual relationship in a realistic way that in the end strengthen the love between male and female leads. 

At first glance, both manga appear to have an ecchi focus to them in regard to a particular sexual fetish. However, it wouldn't do either work justice to limit the content to mere eye candy. The protagonists of both works suffer from unbalanced lifestyles due to bad relationships, bullying, or feelings of ineptitude or inadequacy. This stress gives way to adopting a form of fetish as a sort of ritual. Nana to Kaoru in particular explores several different forms of bondage without stepping over the line most would consider extreme while also being somewhat educational. Nozoki Ana focuses on exhibitionism and voyeurism, using them as allegories for how people try to hide their own true feelings while attempting to expose one another's. Both works do an amazing job of capturing drama without overloading the reader with meaningless fan service. read more 

Relationship between weirdos that includes borderline-h bdsm content. Nana to Kaoru is in a way more wholesome though. 

Both are about girl's who got personal issues and short awkward perverted dudes with weird fetishes. Characters engage in BDSM play. Mainly about how the couples slowly get more intimate with each other through the male MCs' weird fetish and find emotional support.  

similar in a lot of ways but its hard not to spoil, this is like a much darker nana to kaoru  

- S&M - Main Characters like/love each other but either don't realise it or express it through lewd acts. - Highschool kids being highschool kids :kappa: 

Both manga are about students who live nearby working out a BDSM system 

Both deal with S&M but this one has a little more comedy.

In these two mature serialisations, we follow two schoolmates who share a hidden relationship that involves BDSM. 

Lust, love, desire, confusion and the complexity of human emotions. 

In essence, both Nana to Kaoru and Prison School should be considered more as comedy thrillers. Their gimmicks are more of a satire with the explicit fan service. Some of the main male characters become more like boy toys for the more dominant female cast. In addition, there's a lot of foreplay and anticipation for each chapters' clever tactics. Prison School is also known for a more well developed story despite its mature themes. Nana to Kaoru maintains more comedy factors with its ecchi elements. 

Both titles are similar to a degree where it's easier to list what is different. Most probably Nana to Kaoru was an inspiration for Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki. Similarities include, but not limited to: high-school setting, ecchi, romance based on light S&M, where boy is dom and girl is sub, girl is popular, good-looking, and seemingly unattainable (but has a secret pervy side), boy is average on the outside, but has other redeeming qualities. The differences: NtK is deeper and slower-paced, builds better connection with the characters. It is also educational at times. TnHwM is more chaotic, provides less emotional build-up, but packs more content in fewer chapters. Character wise, in TnHwM the female lead is more assertive right from the start and moves the relationship forward, slowly converting the "normie" male lead to S&M. In contrast, in NtK the male lead has the "dom" mindset from the start and introduces the female lead to the world of S&M; both characters growing into their roles as the series progresses. Both are romance ecchi that focus on story over ecchi, but blend the two quite nicely. Both feature good character progression and the stories are enthralling. Art styles are a little different, but both are good. Nana to Kaoru is quite catching and I had a similarly enjoyable experience reading up to the current chapter (in one sitting of course) in Hantsu x Torasshu.  

Another "Step-Up Love Story" that verges on hentai, Nana + Kaoru also explores the developing relationship of a young couple, while serving as a How to Guide for those that are unfamiliar with BDSM.
