The heroines of these manga want to get a boyfriend, but that's not so easy for them. Risa is a bit too tall while Haruna has a bad fashion sense and a masuline build due to playing baseball in middle school. Along the way they end up going out with the guy who supported them and helped them from the beginning.
Both Koukou Debut and Lovely Complex are lighthearted shoujo romantic comedies. The main couple in both these series follow similar patterns. Risa(Lovecom) is worried about her height and Haruna (Koukou debut) is too atletic to get guys. Both fall in love with guys at first who end up getting other girlfriends, then go for the guy that they've known longer. They're both very cute and if you liked one you'll probably like the other. They have a similar feeling to them.
Both mangas are very similar in relationships and how they began there love interests... Its not the height complex but Haruna couldn't get a boy because her styles/body tone didn't attact them, she is more "buff"(you don't notice) because she played for the softball team... Both of them start out trying to look for boyfriends and winds up ending with the guy they were close to in the beginning...
Cute, funny, quirky, and all around awesome and enjoyable shoujo high school romance series. They both have a very similar vibe to them, and similar approaches to their manic, endearing love stories. If these two series were people, I'd think they'd been separated at birth.
A boy and a girl who at first are friends later they fall in love
Love, sadness, excitement, and just about every other emotion can be express while you're reading these two manga, They are both so alike yet at the same time so different.
Koukou Debut is about a girl name Haruna, who had just enter her first year in High School. Like most girl that are portray in shougo manga, she's looking for a boyfriend. But things aren't going well for her as she has such a terrible taste in fashion and a masculine body due to playing baseball in Middle School. Lovely Complex is about a girl name Risa, who's also in her first year in High School and is also looking for a boyfriend, but only one thing is stopping her. Her complex about her height.
In these two well thought-out manga, both of the main character goes through an experience that they will neber forget. They experience how to love, to feel pain, jealousy, and how to be a "girlfriend". In Koukou Debut, Haruna meets an upper classman name Yoh and asks him to be her coach to help her be "attractive". While in Lovely Complex, Risa is in love with one of her classmate/nemesis, name Omani, who's shorter than an average dude. As these two manga proceed, feeling changes and different goals are made. The experiences that went through these two manga are unforgettable.
These two manga are so similar yet at the same time so different, and are just so amazing. The ending of the two are also so adorable and quite funny. I cried, I laughed, I was even angry. Emotion can be felt while reading these two manga. So if you like Koukou Debut, you will definitely like Lovely Complex. And vice versa.
Both share a girl main character that has never had a boyfriend and attempts to get one. Risa (Lovely Complex) is taller then average and Haruna (Koukou Debut) has no fashion sense so they each get help from another guy, who they end up falling in love with.
They are romantic comedies with very cute art styles.
Both anime are romantic comedy where the girl and boy are in a situation where they are unlikely to fall in love but throughout develop feelings for eachother. They also show their love and relationship blossom through good times and bad. Both manga also have chapters in which career choices have to be made.
Both are great romantic comedies. Both heroine are hilarious along with the the male protagonist. However the slight difference is that in Koukou Debut Yoh is like a super hottie compared to ootani in Lovely Complex who is short. Beside that, everything is pretty similar. If you like one, you should like the other too! Hope you enjoy!
Hogh school love's. Same sort of feeling you get from reading. Both are actually light hilarous manga's. Also both the girls really do have a few similarity's. They are both
not really feminine, also both don't give up so easily, and both are also very enjoyable.
The guys also first act hard to get, and come over as indecisive.
Don't forget to check the other one out!

Both have a girl who's a little stupid when it comes to guys and such, and a guy who all the girls want but he never dates. (Trust issues). Overall both are really great and funny stories about love.
Both have an unpopular girl who is looking for love in High School. And they meet a popular boy who isn't interested in love. Because of some similar event they end up hanging out without eachother where love develops between them.
In both series, there is romance presented where the main female protagonist seems to be a plain girl with a normal personality. They meet a popular male protagonist in the series and they form a relationship. Although it gets off to a rocky start, it develops and the duo embarks on many obstacles that brings them closer together.
Both series takes place at a high school life setting and has a lighthearted theme. Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu does have some more mature themes but the idea of romance is present in both series.
Both series also involves misunderstandings between the main two protagonists.
The heroines are very similar, yet different too. In the beginning, Haruna is looking for a boyfriend, whereas Tsubaki made no attempt at all. Besides that, they are both naive and do not know much about relationships, making them "stand out".
Both stories start with the heroine and the guy having difficulties with each other, but start to like each other, although cliché sense of the story, the authors begin it in unique ways.
The guys (I don't know what to call them) both have trouble trusting women and haven't had many or any serious relationships before. Also, both act cool at times, but actually care.

well, kimi ni todoke and koukou debut was somewhat similar to each other. the art is somekinda similar too. the love story is light and refreshing to read.^^
They have similar types of humor and romance. The main characters both trust easily and are often thickest when it comes to matter surrounding themselves. Both these series are cute, funny, lighthearted reads that are a treat fr any shoujo manga fan.
Koukou Debut and Kimi ni Todoke are both romantic, funny, sweet, light hearted and easy to read with a good amount of the normal high school/teenage drama to balance it out. Both manga involve an optimistic girl as the main character that is trying to improve on some aspect in her life who meets a good looking, kind and cool guy along the way along with some new friends.
Kimi ni Todoke and KouKou Debut are very sweet and touching. The story is told from the lady-in-love and has clueless and sincere protagnoist. Both the stories center around one couple!

I think they are alot alike because they both have very strong female leads and the guys are always on thw quiet cool side but they are nice and really care alot. Also they both are placed in High School and the everyday life of how there relisonship devlops!
*There arent any fighting scences in Koukou Debut though!
Junai Tokkou Taichou's most parts are similar to the happy middle arcs of Koukou Debut(yes, the ones which are funny as hell). Both lead males have problems expressing themselves. Both female leads are very strong in terms of physical power. Both are romantic comedies which can actually make you laugh and give you that butterfly feeling.
If you liked one, there's no doubt you'll like the other. You'll fall instantly in love with the straight-forwardness of the main characters. Both are true to themselves and are good people.

The main characters in these two mangas are fairly similar. Both girls are energetic and not really used to the "pretty" role. Personality wise: they are a little bit strange, highly reactive emotionally, and somewhat awkward in social situations. The main male character is a cool guy who acts as a teacher to the main character. Overall, these are both very funny mangas with interesting situations happening all of the time.
Both of the female leads are the type to give it their all
Both have comedy and involve teenage girls.
Both have as protagonists a tomboy girl with a very energetic and optimistic personality, and willpower. She ends up being helped and protected by a serious good looking boy, and starts to get along with him everyday. The boy, who in the beginning only had the goal of helping her, actually starts smiling around her, and slowly changing, opening his heart, while the feelings between the two start to grow. A lot of comedy and sweet moments:)
Both girls end up falling in love with someone they're not supposed to fall in love with.
both deal with Strong, sporty & funny girl + popular, cool & tsundere bishie

Very similar type of plot.
very similar plot .... where the main girl try to find love but doesn't know what to do, how to dress and got a help from a guy who she later fall in love with.
you get the same feelings when reading both mangas
1. both of the girls were athletes in middle school and want to be girly in high school and get the help of the main guy for fashion advice
2. the main guy and girl are super close and comfortable when together; they have very good chemistry :)
3. plot is very similar though Koukou Debut is longer while Otomegokoro is shorter
bith are good reads :) i KNOW you will enjoy one if you read the other

Both have very cute sojo stories with romance, humor and some awkwardness from the characters, which makes it just so cute
the guy helps out the awkward girl and the girl "unexpectedly" falls in love with him. both are cute slice of life stories. koukou debut follows the relationship farther down the road while kimi wa girlfriend is shorter.
Both heroines have problems attracting guys and are supported by guys so they can be more feminine
They are both romance and shojo's
Both series involve a heroine who loves manga although in "High School Debut" she reads manga and in "Fall in Love Like a Comic!" she writes it. Both series also involve the main character getting into some form of relationship with a guy and then falling in love with him and starting to actually date. These are both really cute Shōjo series.

In both the main girl wants to change in order to get a boyfriend. XD
Well, they both have tough girls, don't they? And both heroines tried to change themselves to look cuter so they could find a boyfriend.. Well, Otokomae is an oneshot, so they really dont need to have more in common, do they? So, there you go! If you liked it, there's no way you won't like Koukou debut! That's that ^^
Both girls want to change themselves and are helped out by popular boys. In both series, there is some sort of romantic attraction between the female protagonists and the guys helping them through the changes.
Both are about a girl that needs improvement. The guys help the girls improve and slowly fall in love with them.
Both are about a main protagonist who is physically strong and seeking romance in there lives.
Kind of the same art and story.
a silly girl falls in love
The artwork and humor is similar at time.
Even though the stories aren't similar at all.
Another high school romance. Both are pretty entertaining.
The female main character is strong and she never gives up.
Both heroines are quite similar to each other and the story line to both mangas are cheesy and cute! :)
The storyline is different but the main characters remind me of the main couple in sukitte Ii na yo especially Yoh and Yamato. It is a bit of romance and how the girl slowly change by the help og the guy. They are both really good.
The main characters are pretty similar.
They are both about high school love.
Kare Kano delves a little deeper and has more dark corners, but both are equally hilarious.
They both are about two clumsy girls that likes this really popular guy and they confess to him. Eventually they start going out and they face problems.
They both include somewhat simple minded and naive female characters who are both the type to encourage others, persevere, and not give up. They also both do what they can to help others when possible. These mangas are both romance, drama, and shojo with comedy and slice of life from high school to college
KouKou Debut and Saruyama both have the nice cozy feeling that makes you happy. Also they are both about school life and everyday storeis about the couples and their friends.
Both these mangas are about high school romances. Both of them begin when both meet and the rest is the development and up and downs that happen in the relationship.
Both are funny, light-hearted romances. However, Koukou Debut focuses more on a couple & their relationship, while Strobe Edge is a story of 2 people and their road to becoming a couple.
In koukou Debut an idoitic girl falls in love with a smart boy, what more can I say?
Both series have the intention to become more beautiful. Also, they both have "uncute" heroines that help other people with their problems.
High School Debut and Honey and Clover are both romance stories that have very strong humor.
The character's personalities are very similar! Both of the guys are the popular guys of the school but don't really want to deal with the whole "problem" of dating someone, each because of different reasons. Because of that, both of have a hard time expressing their feelings until... the girl appears. The girls are both really caring towards the guys which causes them to open up and be more kind towards others. Overall, they're both light hearted manga about love with a bunch of comedy on the side! You'll enjoy both of them!!!!
Mars and Koukou Debut are very different, but the romance is similar so if you enjoyed Mars you'll enjoy Koukou Debut and vice versa. Both mangas have your basic shoujo cliches like, love triangles, girl from the guy's past, girl getting bullied, etc.
Mars is really deep/dark and more mature while Koukou Debut is more fluffy and sweet, so I guess Koukou Debut can help you recover after reading about all the evil psychopaths and dramas in Mars.
Mars is still my all time favourite and I had a hard time enjoying a new manga after reading it but Koukou Debut is something Mars fans will enjoy, probably.
The interaction of love is similar. Koukou Debut is like Datte Suki Nan Damon except continued :) It's a great manga to read! 8D
Both girls ask an amazingly kind and hot guy to teach them how to be better at finding guys. =)
The lead male character in My Hero reminds me of Haruna, in the sense that they're both very sweet and innocent, both are very funny as well.
similar story with stronger female leads
It is about a girl who kind of fits in with the school host club. Shes around theses guys but there is a romance between the leader and the girl. But its not very big because she's dense and he's a little childish.
both have a promise in them, both Haruna & Tamako are strong and welling to do whatever it takes to the one they love .. ♥
Both have romance, and main charecter is set on achieving a goal.
In KouKou debut its about getting a boyfriend in Good Father its about becoming a good DJ for his girlfriends fathers approval.
Both mangas are about a girl that is looking for something in their love life. In Haruna's case (Koukou Debut) she is looking for some flirtations and someone to love her, which is similar to what our protagonist in Random Walk is also looking for, someone that she can really be in love with. Both are very cute stories, and if you liked either one of them, I think you'd enjoy the other one too!
Tomboys who try with the most handome guy what it means to love somebody. Later on the girls are trying their best to look more feminine.
A very energetic simple-minded heroine, with a good looking, popular (but dislikes it), down to earth guy. Very romantic, though Shuukatsu has a slightly more serious tone to it, but that might be because the characters are older than in Koukou debut.
A high school romance that'll leave you wanting for more.
Both stories have a female lead who are clueless when it comes to love or choosing the right person. Furthermore, both of them are tough, strong and boyish, although kind.
I also like both of them because the art of both the manga are very similar.
it's similar in many ways..for example Hina from FIVE is the typical unwanted girl who always hang out with the most popular boy in school, like Haruna from Koukou Debut. Both of them are bullied by the other girls from school..both were loved by the "popular boy"'friend or friends...the "popular boy" in both mangas is selfish and acts cool..there are much more similarities but i let you to discover them...
Both manga are similar in a way that the girl quits sports so that she'd be more femine( in effect, less muscular body etc...). Well Koukou Debut has more depth and sweet romance compared to Oresama Ouji, but both of them did have that thing in common
Both girls try to find there "partner" and been rejected so many times even through they look pretty cute/decent. But how they approach them is whats rejects them, they soon find a guy they fall in love with....
Both of the stories take place in a school, and contain a big group of friends where each person has his/her own personality. So there is similarities, but the story-lines are different.
The art is somewhat like, but Ouran Host Club has rougher drawings than Koukou Debut
"Ai no Tame ni" is a collection of three short stories by the same mangaka as "Koukou debut". Both mangas have very cute and romantic stories, with interesting and lovable characters and leave you with a nice feeling after you've read them.
Tetsu and Shizuka remind me of Yoh and Haruna.
Both manga series are about a group of high school students. In addition, in both the main female character falls in love with a very popular guy (though the circumstances are different). They gave me the same heart-warming feeling (:
They're both shoujo comedies and there is a same feeling while reading them. :)
both are similar base on plot. both have great heroins
not your regular shoujo type of manga lots of twist in them
highly recommended for people who likes shoujo stories
=]
both the series are similar in the relationship development aspect because they show how couples go through the ups and downs of their relationship
also, they both revolve around some very realistic situations (i.e. dating, fashion etc.) that can be compared to the life of an average teenager (both having the slice of life genre)
they both have good romance storylines and are must-reads
Same author. Both have lots of funny moments and interesting characters.
I think if you liked this you would also like Koukou Debut because the personalities of the characters are very strong and there are a lot of parts in this manga that will make you laugh. It's full of sillyness but will definitely make you feel better if you're down.
Although, there is much less drama compared to Ren Ai.
Both feature heroines who are shojo manga fans. Also, one party in the relationship gives makeover/dating advice.
In both mangas, the main female is a tough girl, and
they aren't very good with relationship problems.
Another similarity is that in both mangas, the main male character is one of the best looking guys in school, and they both have girls over all them, though I think I like the male lead in kaichou wa maid-sama a bit more.
Both are similar in a way that the MCs fell in love with the one who helped them. but Papillon has much more drama whereas Koukou Debut is more on the comedic side.
Yet another high school romance. The main girls in both are tomboys.
Have some romance parts. Fun to read. 8D
both are romances with a clumsy girl who falls in love with a cool and attractive guy. the way both relationships progress are similar they also have similar art styles.
well, the heroine is kinda similar...they both work hard and try their best...and their leading man is also someone pretty popular in the school...XD
sweet love story .. a couple their love is stronger than anything else
Although HSD doesn't have MeruPuri's all-over fantasy element, both series are about a girl who has her heart set on falling in love but ends up falling for the least likely candidate. (Hijinks, cuteness, and occasional mild drama ensues.)
Life -- and high school first love -- after baseball. Both series have protagonists with a sporty background they've had to ditch for their current lifestyle, and have a similar slightly awkward but wonderfully earnest approach to the romantic aspect.
They give you the same feeling. A quiet, serious good looking and kind hearted guy that dates a energetic optimistic girl. Both are full of comedy and very sweet moments.
Both have a girl and a guy that don't really get along, but their relationship progresses over time.
Both mangas are about high school couples. Thought Bokura ga Ita is more tragic it's similar to Koukou Debut. Both girls are said to be plain and end up with the or one of the most attractive guy in the school. Also the ending is similar because they end after the graduate from highschool.
