Both series center around high leveled esper girls. While Mikoto is one of Academy City's seven Level 5's, The Children are the only Level 7's in Japan. The Children start off as 10-year-olds but eventually become middle school students like Mikoto and friends. ZKC can be more lighthearted than Railgun, especially in the beginning, but it has its serious, dramatic moments as well. Esper cloning has also been recently introduced into ZKC's story.

Manga adaptation of supernatural theme series. Zettai Karen Children and Medaka Box explores the concepts of unique powers among its characters. The setting of both series has somewhat similarity although Medaka Box has a more focus on school. Both series' characters possesses unique abilities that are formidable and viewed as a threat by certain groups. The main female protagonists also have strong wills with unique gifts. But most importantly, both series explores characters relationships through events that unfold as revelations are made and changes occur. There is also a battle shounen like atmosphere present throughout the course of their perspective stories.

Different settings and themes yet both Gakuen Alice and Zettai Karen Children hold similarities when it comes to its style. Both series involve supernatural abilities that gifted individuals are able to use at will. Build on the foundation of the main characters, both series utilizes its plot to present those abilities. The main female characters from both series are energetic and is able to easily make friends. But throughout the series, they both struggle on personal levels when it comes to relationships. There is certain degree of development with the main characters as they learn more about the world, themselves, and their abilities. I recommend  read more

Both pair a guy with one (or more) lolis with supernatural abilities in order to deal with sci-fi crimes, in ZKC it's terrorism by espers and in BB it's alien invasion.

Though one is science-fiction and the other is firmly supernatural/fantasy, both have a similar main protagonist: a young girl with power too immense to be controlled, a beautiful heart, and a busty future self. Both series have great art, a powerful story, lots of humor, and what one might call a tragic romance with an older man. Both are highly recommended.

Much younger girl falls in love with much older guy, with romance, action and humor.

Midarizaki and Minamoto (the respective male protagonists) are both elites of the Japanese paranormal/esper organizations, and are both forced into a makeshift family as the "father" of abnormal children.

Both series are created by the same mangaka thus both share similar artwork as well as similar style of action and humor.

They are comedy mangas written over a serious history. There are lots of parodies to other mangas and animes and the manga itself is a deconstruction of the own manga structure and methods. About the main story, there are a government agency and a terrorist group confronted, that in the end are more allies than enemies.

Both brings a real historical context into a fantasy/sci-fi set-up. Zettai Karen Children is relatively accurate (excluding the sci-fi elements) in the WWII while Zero no Tsukaima brings only small details from Renaissance Europe into a fantasy world. Both use alternate names from the countries/cities to make those references a little more obvious without entering in problems with the real facts. Besides that, both walk in the path between action manga and romantic comedy.

Both mangas take time torturing their hardworking male leads through multiple years. They do this for the sake of building up awesome "F**k yeah, Minamoto/Hasukawa!" moments of triumph in the latter part of the series.

Both involve predictions of disasters and a group of people who try to prevent them.

Taking place in a world where there are supernatural forces at work, Negima and Zettai Karen Children adapts their premises with such elements. The main male protagonist serves as both a mentor and friend for the girls from both series. There is a great deal of focus on the relationship development between them that progresses on with complex sub-plots. At the same time, mysterious origins can be traced in both series that are unrivaled as their stories progresses. With decent comedy and action packed scenarios, I recommend both series for those who wants a bite out of supernatural/magic/action.
