This is also where a girl cross dresses to get into an all boy school, but the sport is basketball instead of high jump
Both manga have the same basic storyline, with the girl crossdressing as a boy (although one was willing and the other was forced), sharing a dorm room with a guy, and well, see what happens.
The same story, a girl come into a school as a guy, fell in love with her roomate...
Same story just with different characters and a few other small changes that don't really matter. It's not AS good as Hana-Kimi, but its still really good and worth reading if you liked that, and while its the same stuff it manages to make it so you dont feel like your just re-reading HK or something.
Both have girls pretending to boys in an all boys high school
A girl has to disguise herself as a boy for one reason or another. Her love interest is her roommate, but complications arise when the roommate starts to fall in love with the girl. They are both really well done.
If you like Hana Kimi, then you might wanna try reading Power!! Girl got Game. The plot is not similar but yet so close. In hana kimi, the main female character disguising as a boy to meet the one she idolized that is one of the high jump athlete, while in power, the female character disguising as a boy because her father told her so in order for her to join the well known high school basketball club. But one thing in common about this two girl is they just funny and hilarious, and the fact that they had to hide their identity.
My first impression of Power!! (also known as Girl Got Game) was that it was basically the basketball version of Hana-Kimi. There are huge differences between the two -- the biggest being that Power!! is comedic where Hana-Kimi is dramatic -- but they share the same basic dynamic, girl pretending to be boy lives with boy. Gender-bending has never been so hilarious!
It feels very identical to me, not only is the art similar, but the story and occurances are as well. For example, both female leads don't know how to find their own bed after the lights have gone out ^^; Very charming if you have read one to read the other, even though it feels a bit repetative.
Hana-Kimi is high jump while Power is basketball. BUT Hana-Kimi is much better, both in its artistic style and its plot!
Cross-dressing fun! :) Girl infiltrates school as boy, chaos ensues! Power!! is published by Tokyopop as Girl Got Game, and has less drama than Hana-Kimi, but lots more comedy!
Both are incredibly similar. They both are in situations where they have to pretend to be a boy and live with other boys. They also both end up falling for the one they have to share a room with. And they both involve sports. Except girl got game is more comedy and hana kimi is more romance. They're both great though =D
Both are gender-benders and involve sports.
gender-benders, very sweet stories about a girl posing a guy attending school for different reasons. coincidentally (or .. not) they both are in love with their roommates
Both about girl who hide her gender & with love in the dorm.
They are exactly the same except for in Hana Kimi, Mizuki goes of her own free will, and in Power, Aizawa is forced.

Both main female characters are posing as males in a school. Both are comedys and romance, though one leans more to romance, and the other leans more to comedy. Both main female characters have similar personality traits, straight forward and oblivious to the feelings of affection from the guys surrounding them. both are reverse harem.
A girl who hides her identity and its surrounded by a lot of guys. In hana-kimi she goes to an all boys school just to see her idol, in ouran she must fulfill her debt so... she is forced :D both very funny and interesting stories
Cross dressing action and lots of cute boys!
Both have incredible comical aspects to the stories as well as a slight incorporation of drama. Additionally, they're both based during the main actresses' high school days. And, well, the main protagonists cross-dress, and are admired by main male students. Really, both stories have similar plots except Hana-Kimi is driven with one major goal while Ouran continues many episodes of stories that seem to not lead to a major plot ending as of yet, at least. Both are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the comedy and just overall amazingness of each story.
umm.... cause SB said so! alot of bishonen and there is the main character that is a cross-dresser.
they both take places in an all boy school and shojo beat recommended it
Screw-ball romantic comedy involving a girl who cross-dresses due to a certain reason and must maintain the secret in order to *insert whatever here*
hana kimi and ouran hshc are similare because the main character of both of the series are girls posing as a guyand that they are serounded by guys
Similar story line, interesting characters with lots of humor.
Both are gender-blender manga, involving the heroine masquerading as a boy and living amongst beautiful bishounen. The only difference is that in Ouran, the host club know that she is a girl (but the customers don't ^_^) and in Hana-Kimi, only a couple people know. However, both are extremely well-written and a great read!
they are very similar because they are both about a girl pretending to be a boy being together/having to do with other guys.

they both are about girls cross-dressing and going to an all-boys school then falling in love
EXACTLY the same...seriously...the only difference is that the lead character doesn't actually want to go into the school, but is forced by her mother. Otherwise it's eerily familiar.
Its also does not play up the comedy as far as Hana Kimi does.
There are too many similarities between these two to list them all. Both are about a girl who ends up in an all boys school, and falls in love with their roommate. Sano and Itou look really similar, and so does Mizuki and Takanashi. Both have really similar romances, and comedy. If you liked one, you'll most likely like the other :)
A girl disguises as a boy and goes to an all-boys school where she falls for her roommate. The characters are somewhat similar as well.
A girl having to disguise herself to go to an all-boys school. Although in Hana-Kimi she wanted to go, and in Boku ni Natta Watashi her mom made her. They both involve a pot of falling in love with their roommate and having to hide their secret (of being a girl).
In nearly every way, except Boku ni Natta Watashi is more disgusting >_>.. The only difference I liked in that story is the very end [where the main guy goes back to see her], mostly because he seems to be going somewhere in starting the relationship anew with her being a girl.
But in my recommendation, read Hana-Kimi. I'm sorry but I even regret picking up this manga. So heed my warning :O and don't read it.
gender-benders. in love with their roommates
Both about girl who hide her gender & with love in the dorm.
Cross-dressing girl that goes to all boys school
Both female leads attend an all boys school. The lead in Boku no Natta Watashi being forced to enter, whilst the lead in Hana Kimi entering by choice.

The girl & the boy share the same room in the dorm
At first she didint know of course that he was a guy then she discovered it ( like how sano discovered ashiya) & i just get the feeling that they are alike
because sano is popular & mizuki helps him out in his jumping thing
its the same in Tenshi Ja Nai Izumi ( the guy ) is hiding his idenity as a famous model & actress & hikaru helps him to cover his secret
So i guess if you liked Tenshi Ja Nai you will like Hana kimi for sure XD
Both these manga are gender bender stories taking place at a high school where students live in dorms. Of course, the schools are single-gender only. In hana-kimi it's an all boys school, while in Tenshi ja nai it's an all girls school. In both stories, the two main characters end up living in the same room, and one of them is dressing up as the other gender! And of course, the other roomate discovers this quite early in the series. Both are also very funny series and highly entertaining.
Same type of situation, just swtiched around. Instead of a girl pretending to be a guy, there's a guy pretending to be a girl model. They also attend the same school and share the same room. It's pretty funny =)

Cross dressing, close calls and a lover =P its like Hana Kimi with a guy as main character... scary but fun Dx
Gender benders ahoy! Whilst Hana-Kimi sees Mizuki dressing up as a boy to be with her idol in an all-boys' school, Rando didn't have much of a choice when he snaps out of a coma to find his face transfigured to that of the girl of his dreams.

Another love story that involves a girl crossdressing in order to get into an all boys school. In Kill Me Kiss Me, the main character switches places with an identical cousin to meet a male model and the story revolves around both of them in their new environment and the problems they encounter. While in Hana-Kimi, the main character enrolls in an overseas school to be closer to her athletic idol and ends up boarding in the same room with him <3 Both shoujo comedies.

Both have a girl disguised as a boy, and the boy they like knows they are a girl. Both are also hilarious!
This manga and TCP has some parts in common --- but not much--- if you wanted Hana Kimi with more Action and different time settings (somewhat) then this is the manga for you! its unique and very readable although there are some parts that were boring in between important events and all.... * note that this manga has everything to do with the Mafia ...

Two great love stories (though very different) where a girl crossdresses to achieve her dreams and be close to a person she admires
Both have the main girl having to live with other guys. They both include sports (one's volleyball, one's high jump and other stuff). They both are kind of tomboys but in the end the guy they like eventually falls for them. Hana kimi's more romance and crimsom hero's more sports, but they have a bit of each other too...

Although SPY isn't a gender bender, both manga are about sports and determination, and the main characters' personalities are very similar, i think
gender bender, its about a girl who cross dresses to beat up bad guys to relief stress
and who is tortured by her "princess"
both are about a girl who dresses up as a boy to go into a all boys school
It's more on comedy, romance, especially it's more about love triangle.
Well it is rather the same, simply the girl version for this manga. Really well done too.
They're both shoujo comedies and there is a same feeling while reading them. :)
Both mangas have a fun, care free air to them, yet have their serious moments. Plus, add in the love-triangle aspect, and you have two great stories!
Both of these mangs are "gender-bender", Hanakimi deals with a girl dressing as a boy, and in W-Juliet there is a guy dressing as a girl. Both are very adorable romance stories with comedy. They're defenitely both worth reading :)

Comedy and romance, what more can you ask?
They both have heroines that seem blunt, fangirlish, and happy-go-lucky. There's also heroes who can't seem to take a break because of worrying for they're crush. But there's a lot of laugh in both of them and did I say that both contains kissing monsters?
It's the same in the way that the main character fell inlove with the other main character after seeing them high jump.
its made by the same mangaka and they both have a mix of romance and sports
hisaya fans should definitely read both the series
Both of these series deal with girls supporting a high jumper after they have been in an accident and helping them jump agian. Kakedashita is a one volume story, while HanaKimi is much longer...but both are just as enjoyable.
both are about cute girls that disguise themselves to enroll in allboys schools
also both of them are discover and protected by their roomates wich ends up falling inlove with the girls.
Both stories are cute and touching

Two funny gender benders. HK is more sports-focused, plus it's a classic, but DK is nice too.
