I know giving a 10/10 for everything may be saying a bit much but the truth is this story is a 10/10. I have never read a manga (or book for that matter) that has been written and drawn like this one. I didn't expect much from it, I mean it didn't even have a review on this site, but once I started to read more into it I was sucked into this world that Judal created that really blew my mind.
Story 10/10
So the story starts of as a vampire curses his killer that he will be reincarnated in 100 years so that he can kill his (the killers') reincarnation. Sounds pretty dark right? Then after 100 years the vampire is back and wants revenge and who does he stumble across? Why the great granddaughter of his killer, princess Ishtar. What gets crazier is she wants to help him find her great grandfathers reincarnation and kill him!?! I won't reveal anymore but this story line only takes you through more twists and turns that make you laugh, cry, be afraid, and sympathetic more than you would expect from a manga. The world the mangaka created is similar to our own but with monsters and creatures from our imagination all that surpassed my expectations in how they really resembled our dreams and nightmares.
Art 10/10
They art was beautifully drawn, having the males more beautiful then the females (for the most part) was extremely interesting and unique. Not only were the characters drawn beautifully but also their clothes and weapons were extremely unique from other mangas I've read.
Character 10/10
Each charater had such a unique personality and expressions that you learned so much about them and wanted to learn more about them as if they were you new friends. The mangaka even gave each character unique facial expressions that made them feel even more like real people. The characters (even the evil ones) would grow on you and really make you want to read all the way through to make sure the characters were alright. Never had I ever read through such a long series in such a short amount of time.
Enjoyment 10/10
Of course I would give this a 10/10 it is definitely one on my favourite stories and I hope by now you understand why. The story does have a bit of guy on guy action (if you know what I mean) but in this world it seems more popular and more accepting in their world then our own, but for the most part the guys and ok with either or (males or females). Which in my opinion is OK with me but beside that, I never felt the need to continue reading as much as I did, it was just so exciting and new that I had to finish reading it!
Overall 10/10
A masterpiece there is no other way to describe it. So buy it or read it online if you got some free time. Trust me it's worth the read! (Believe me this is the first and only manga I've felt the need to write a review for and I've read over 100 mangas) read more

Yup! Vampire Game is one of those mangas that keeps you guessing. If you haven't read the manga yet, then please read it. It's everybit unique and enjoyable as possible.
Story: This was the first thing that can be called unique in this manga. Normally, we would read a good person trying to revenge a bad person. But here, it is vice-versa. The one who is supposed to be enemy, is the main protogaist in the series!
Art: The characters are well drawn and this has a serious tone to it. You can enjoy the art to maximum extent
Character: Every character has been developed very carefully. I didn't spot a single character whose growth was insufficient. Judal sure took her time when she developed the base of the characters. You can understand how everyone feels and the nature they were raised in.
Enjoyment: This is a type of manga that keeps you guessing what will happen next. It's a mixed combination of adventure/romance/super-natural and mystery
Overall: This is a series you won't regret reading. I fully recommend you reading it when you have the time read more

I absolutely loved this! This was the very first manga I EVER picked up, but even so, I fell in love with it.
When I started reading this, it was a time when I was restricted from read Twilight (But Now I wish I never read THAT saga...). Obviously, since it had Vampire in the name, I thought it would be some crackpot vampire/human forbidden love sh*t. I read it and I thought that Ishtar was a great protagonist, so I continued with the series.
And let me tell you, I had no regrets.
The art is great and that's when I got an art preference for manga. The fact that Duzell, the vampire in the series, is completely a background character, I thought that Judal was something else. Sorry this is getting off topic...
Vampire Game is the story of love triangles, cross-dressing, and growing up, all in the life of a princess. The fact that her best friend is a cross-dressing, transforming-into-a-cat vampire is just a plus. =)
If you are in the mood for immature girls, irritated guardsmen, and a whole lot of fighting, read this! read more

This was one of the manga's that got me hooked and that I just couldn't put down. There are a few questions that remain for me but I think the main and even quite a lot of side devellopments were nicely finished. Even though I do regret some of the choices the mangaka made (especially the ending) this remains an interesting and very enjoyable story... like they say: it's not about the destination but about how you get there. So if I don't count the ending this one would definitely get a 9 or even a 9.5, if I do take the ending into account... I'm sad to say that it only gets a 7 or maybe an 8.
For everyone who only likes the scary horror hollywood-type of vampire where everything is about blood... put this away. I'm not saying that it's a lovey-dovey story but romance isn't hidden in the background. If you'd leave the romance out of this story it wouldn't be nearly as fun. The struggles they are facing are quite realistic and so are the personalities of most characters... of course there are a few exeptions but when you take a step back you realise they weren't as unrealistic as you might think at first.
So anyway... it's a great story in which the action doesn't oppose the romance (or vice versa) but rather one where action and romance mingle in an interesting, enchanting and funny plot that will keep you nailed to your seat for many hours. read more
