Synopsis

300 years ago, the demon lord attempted to take over the world but was defeated by a hero. But now, the demon lord has been reincarnated in the form of a cute girl who doesn't have any memory of her past. She still retains the same deadly powers, but her only resource is the memory robot assistant. The reemergence of the demon lord also means that somewhere, a new hero has appeared. The demon lord creates a fairy named Mao to locate this new hero who is said to have the hero's mark on his neck. However, what Mao finds is Alsha, a weak and a little timid young boy. As the cute demon lord observes and guides Alsha through Mao, who she has a direct connection to, in his quest to become the strong hero, she finds that he really is a hopeless young kid.

the art isn't the best, yet the characters's features are defined and the punchlines are delivered.

4koma. slice-of-life

delivers a plot, characters with personality, and the history of the world.

many "wait, what? lol" and "oh, dang" (in many ways) moments.

Subversive, hilarious, and underrated.

This manga is a parody of the hero story. If you read any of them, you know the premise and setting. You have a hero exploring the world and defeating the "villain" to save the world. However, at nearly every point, it undercuts the tropes and mocks expectations.

The main character is weak and nobody takes monsters or the legends seriously. The hero's companion is actually the "villain." The story questions the morality of the "hero story" while still being light-hearted and funny. Maybe some tropes are overdone like the prevent.

Honestly, the fact that a story was even here is the problem, this seems to be a comedy primarily, I'm really not sure why the sort-of serious storyline was added. Look, I don't usually add spoilers but it's not like you came here for a plot, the main characters meet god at the end. Why? It's silly in a bad way. It adds seriousness where it wasn't needed or expected while simultaneously being overdramatic. Total mood whiplash.
