Before I begin I would like to say that i have read this manga many times and I enjoyed it even more after reading it each other time. Saver is my favorite manga so far and I don't think I will ever find one similar to this. I knew from the first chapters that this manga will be one of my favorites.

The story starts with a beautiful girl named Lena who lives alone with her mother. She meets Hye-Min Kang and they start falling in love with each other. By a twist of fate, she finds out that she and Hye-Min Kang are half-siblings. read more

The cold captain of the Kendo club, Lena Ha is looked up to and has a whole we-are-jealous club hatin’ on her [she’s that popular]. So she’s going on with her great life, ignoring everyone, giving schoolmates the cold shoulder, acting all tough and icy when Hye-Min Kang joins school and ruins her whole I-am-a-total-icy-maiden (change ‘maiden’ into whatever you feel is suitable, if you know what I mean) reputation by immediately feeling an uncalled for attraction towards her. Soon after this, she becomes the hero of some land and is hailed as being great.

Huzz--- oh, whatever.

First, inspiring quotes from the Manhwa:

If you like stories with strong female protagonists, you'll definitely like this one.
The heroine, Lena/Ley, constantly shows just how strong a woman she is. She's incredibly skilled with a sword, being the captain of her school kendo club. When she's thrown into a foreign world, she doesn't panic about it and immediatley takes hold of her situation. She even takes on a role of leadership throughout her quests with great strength and without hesitation.

Being a time of war in the story, death is a reoccuring element; whether it be the enemy, innocents civilians, or allies. With that, there's consistancy of adventure and action. There's read more

Oh, I really do love stories like this one. The main character get's involved in something supernatural and ends up in another world. She falls in love with the handsome prince, well this storyline may seem distinctly familiar, but it's definitely different from other mangas...(or I should say manhwa).

Lets start with the storyline. Lena ha is is the captain of her kendo team. She's beautiful, but is a tomboy and is always mistaken for being male. She falls in love with her brother (unknowingly) and such as the tragic tale of incest. Although, later on you'll figure out that this won't read more

Manga: Basara
Epic stories where an ordinary but strong and charismatic female lead is chosen by a prophecy, thrown into battle and forced to dress as a man to survive
reportRecommended by as3
Manga: Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori
girl travels to another world/time...
girl is important in that other world/time...
girl becomes powerful warrior...

and many more similarities...If you liked Saver than i would definitely recommend Red River

Manga: Song of the Long March
The mc's of Song of the Long March and Saver are similar in that these strong heroines hide their gender and act and dress as men. Song of the Long March has a historic setting, while Saver is a fantasy, and Change is weaker physically than the sword fighter Ley, but they both are cool headed thinkers who possess similar leadership abilities. If you like strong heroines and good stories with politics and fighting I would recommend both of these.

Manga: Amakusa 1637
both stories start in a modernday setting, but unfold mostly in a medieval looking world with sword fights and battles against a cruel regime. the main characters are strong women posing as men, who get caught up in a fight to protect others from that world/ time they fell in
reportRecommended by Shiharu
Manga: Kanata kara
Both heroines were able to "travel" to another world where they were prophesied to appear to save said world from chaos. They have almost the sam plot but the heroine in saver has a more deeper character and is not what one would call a damsel - in - distress.

Manga: Threads of Time
In both mangas, the main character gets thrown back in time for a specific purpose which gets to be revealed later.. both include war, romance, revenge, great characters and brilliant plots that offer great reads for MAL users who love this genre :)
