Ukes were/are abused (in AhnKwDN uke has an abusive boyfriend--NOT the main character seme. In LH, uke was raped). When they learn of the abuse, both semes gets adorably overprotective.

Both mangas contain ukes with traumatic pasts, in which both were raped by a supposed guardian/parent figure. The semes must help them overcome the lasting effects (side note: uke in BroXBro is older than seme).
