Shaman King and The Law of Ueki deal with a lot of the same topics, like, how both main characters couldn't care less about everything, the fights and the tournaments, and even the same kind of discussions between characters
1 - fights for a position as king (Shaman King and Celestial King)
2 - protagonists do not really give good reasons why they want to be king (Ueki is just doing it because the candidate who chose him is supposedly "testing" his abilities, and Yoh from Shaman King just wants to be king for his own selfishness and live a relaxing rest-of-his-life).
3 - "Teaming up" with partners, although Mr. K didn't really do anything in Law of Ueki except for being a spectator.
4 - Nature... quite some signs of Mother Nature going on, especially in Shaman King (Spirits, forests, traveling in Shaman King and Ueki planting trees in the first volume)
I've only read the first volume before typing this up, so this is all I can give you.
while reading Ueki, I got the same feeling as from Shaman King: light minded characters getting serious in battles, battles themselves and tournaments.

By the same creator, of Shaman king. If you enjoyed Shaman King, then Butsu Zone also has all the adventure, supernatural, and spiritual qualities you're looking for, as well as humour.
Both series are from the same author/artist and have similar supernatural, action-packed, humorous situations in it. They also deal with some characters which feature in BOTH the series.

Both deal with spirits and the supernatural in a non-traditional manner, even though it's exorcists in Ga-Rei and shamans in Shaman King. Their fighting styles involve controlling the spirits directly. Both protagonists come from a powerful lineage in their respective trades, shouldering heavy responsibilities.

Both are shonen adventure manga that have a similar pattern of being incredibly funny, even during life threatening situations. Anyone who liked the quirky, involving and epic but still hilarious, even darkly hilarious at times, storyline of either would probably like both.
They are both supernatural, and have non-racist heroes in a judgmental and often murderous world.

Monster Soul takes place in Elfenland where humans and monsters live, the main characters are a group of monsters called the Black Airs. The Black Airs is recorded as the strongest group of the monster forces in the great war between the humans and monsters. This manga is pretty much the same genre of Shaman King and includes lots of humour.

Both series are about people who can see ghost. Still though, Shaman King is more childish.

Both main characters have a partner that they fight alongside with, and must defeat others who are in a similar situation so that they can become the strongest.

Both have young magic users ( Magi, Shaman) that can summon humanoid magical beings ( djinns, spirits).

Both of the series have a similar battle system JoJo has "Stand" while Shaman King has "Guardian Ghost" or "Soul Control" , both of the series are adventurous although JoJos adventure might be a different than what you think. The fights are well thought out and hardly little or no use of Nakama.
Shaman King may start off a bit slow but once it gets into action you'll be hooke.
Both of these series are Underrated and very good battle Shounen that are done right

Although Gamaran has just a little bit of "gore", both are Shonen mangas. They fight with different, weapons, and in Shaman King there is Supernatural involved, but if you like one of them you'll likely like the other too.

Both series involve the cast using spirits, and their powers, to fight for good or evil.

Both are supernatural Shonen manga where the main characters have to deal with spirits and demons.

Same author. Same art style too, needless to say. Also both relates to humans partnering up. In Ultimo, it's human-dolls like robots. In Shaman King, it's ghosts.
|
|
|
both manga use spirits to possess a person allowing them to fight with greater power then they have

Shounen series about two things: the supernatural, and fight tournaments. YYH is more about spirit-based attacks and demons while SK is about ghosts, but both like to toss in references to Japanese mythology and spiritual beliefs so there's still lots of common ground.

Both series have main characters who accumulate friends and allies on the basis of their unique categorization (shamans in Shaman King, mafia members in Reborn!). They also have, after a certain point, battle after battle and the accompanying need to improve their abilities to accomodate their opponents' abilities. Reborn! doesn't have Shaman King's tournament structure, but the successive showdowns and increasing danger of their enemies mimics it anyway.

Both are battle series about slacker heroes given supernatural powers.

Both have fighters who uses spirits and living weapons to fight.
Both have weird drawing style.

|
|
In Klan people turn into animals instead of connecting with spirits, but their connection with animal side hold many shamanic features. Both series focus on fights inside shamanic-like-kind.
