"May I be in love with you" is a very cute and seriously fun shoujo-romance-school life read revolving around our protagonist, the scary looking (think Eustace from Courage, the Cowardly Dog when he put on his Ooga Booga Booga mask!) but secretly mild mannered and misunderstood Chigira who just wants to have a fun high school existence filled with friends, karaoke and maybe a first love. Instead his delinquent looks invite challenges from other delinquents further solidifying his unwittingly acquired reputation and scare away any poor sods who make the mistake of looking in his general direction. What's a boy to do?! Especially when a read more

They both feature a guy who has an insanely scary face, because of this they are both commonly misunderstood and found in all sorts of comedic events, While Angel Densetsu is more of a shounen and focuses more on delinquency and comedy Kimi ni Koi Shite Ii Desu Ka. Focuses more on the romance however both series have an uncanny resemblance both in tone (both use the "scary face" as a source of comedy) and in plot.
Both series have sweet protagonists that are misunderstood because of their faces.

The difference is that one is a girl while the other is a boy and said boy looks for romance, while the girl only wants friendship
Both have nice main characters that are cursed with a scary face (all because of their dad) and people think that they are delinquents. Both MCs were attacked a lot and thus learned to fight pretty well and both meet beautiful women and get along with them
All three mangas are about boy's who look scary as hell and for that reason people tend to avoid them. They live their school life with bad reputation because of their bad looks. As hard as they try to make friends as soon they start talking with someone they run away. In all it's worth reading since moral of the story is "dont judge book by it's cover".
Both male protagonists are considered delinquents, despite their personalities. While Hana-kun to Koisuru Watashi is more gentle, Kimi ni Koishite Ii desu ka shows the comedic side of romance and love in high school.
The plot is quite similar: for some reason the male/female protagonist has a scary face, therefore it is hard for him/her to build friendly or romantic relationships in high school. The main characters are lovely and the stories are nice (however, Kimi ni todoke is much longer with more characters and conflicts).
