Akane-chan Overdrive addpermalink

"Pretty Face" and "Akane-chan Overdrive" Both protagonists deal with similar situations, being genderbent, although the latter its slightly more extreme. The way they go through their new everyday life is also quite similar. If you liked Pretty Face, give Akane-chan Overdrive a shot, since they're nearly clones.

Well, it's about a boy who gets turned into a girl (all the way down to his/her genes) but still for 6 years has been trying to get turned back into a boy (it was an evil genie that did it).  The genie reversed his wish to be the manliest of all men.  So it isn't surprising that now she's beautiful, but can fight really well.  She starts attracting a group of guys ranging from the pervert geek to the tough guy gang leader.  There's a LOT of physical fighting going on as well. She is beginning to realize that her memories of how boys think at age 9 has not kept up with the way boys think at 15.  Maybe she doesn't think as much as a boy as she once did.  But she doesn't quite think like a girl either.  The art isn't at the same level as Pretty Face, however. read more

in both mangas, the characters try to hide their actual identities, and they both are experienced fighters

In both series the main character is transformed and gets to live in the home of his crush. In Detective Conan he is turned into a kid and in Pretty Face he must live as a girl. Naturally the goal to get their true form back is also the same.

Both manga relates to how almost everyone thinks the main character is actually girl when its actually a guy. Pretty face however actually hates being a girl while in this manga the guy wants to be a girl. The comedy is fairly similar so i recommend pretty face.

Both are Gender Benders. Although in Ranma the changes can happen multiple times and in Pretty Face it is only once, it still involves the comedy of a man stuck in a woman's body.

The same mangaka (Yasuhiro Kano) so both have similar character designs and also very similar character personalities. However Pretty face focuses of the Romance Comedy side of sides, whereas Mx0 focuses on the Supernatural Acton side of things. ^_^

Both are about a "manly" guy who accidently turns into a girl and is then faced with being together with his crush as a girl. However, Pretty girl has none of the ShowBiz-Stuff and has a more classical school life-story.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo addpermalink

Pretty Face and Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo remind me a lot of each other. For starters, they are both comedy/ecchi series revolving around a delinquent male MC suddenly becoming a woman. 

Rando, of Pretty Face, has a car accident and his upper half surgically transformed to appear like that of a female classmate. He soon discovers he has been modeled off his crush and must now pass as her estranged twin sister, all while trying to become himself again.

Ryu, of Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, falls on top of a female classmate and they suddenly switch bodies. He and the girl work out that they can switch back and forth between bodies by kissing each other, and mayhem and hilarity ensue. 

The art of Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is second to none, almost making Pretty Face look sloppy in comparison. Even so, both manga have made me laugh out loud, feel for the characters and all-round enjoy the story. read more

Both are hilarious ecchi romances that stand out from the glut of the genre, thanks to a genuinely nice and good-hearted male lead that you'd root for from start to finish.

Boku to Kanojo no XXX addpermalink

Boku to Kanojo no XXX/Your and My Secret is a little closer to girl oriented romantic comedy, where Pretty Face is closer to boy oriented romantic comedy, but they're both hilarious gender bender manga that have a similar vein of humor. The amount of sideplots and gags in both comics are about the same too, so if you enjoyed the light-hearted romantic comedy and awkward gender bending gag situations in Pretty Face, you'll probably like Your and My Secret as well.

Both about a very powerful boy who turn into a girl and look like someone else. Pretty face is about the guy being the girl's twin sister while Vampire doll is about the powerful vampire turning into a wax doll that look like the creater's sister.

Both are about a delinquent boy who becomes a girl via surgery and has to cope with this sudden change, though for different reasons. In Pretty Face he has to conceal his true identity while assuming that of his crush's identical twin sister, while Day of Revolution has him replacing his former identity with a new female one, which his old friends find out about very quickly.

Both guys look need to look like a girl to come closer to the ones they love. Difference is that "Pretty Face" is shounen, and therefore has these clichéd ecchi situations, while 'Fudanshism - Fudanshi Shugi" is seinen, and therefore less clichéd in most situations.
