Randou Masashi, a self-centered, brash karate star, was the victim of a horrific bus accident that left him comatose, his face terribly disfigured by extensive burns.

Genius plastic surgeon Dr. Manabe saved Randou's life and went to work on his face, gradually reconstructing it based on a photograph found in the wreckage of the bus. But in a cruel twist of fate, the photo that the doctor used as his reference was not a picture of Randou, but of Rina Kurimi, the girl whom Randou has a crush on!

Imagine being a guy that is involved in a horrific traffic accident. You wake up from a year long coma and everyone thinks your dead but what’s worse is that you have a girl's face.

That’s the basic setting for this hilarious Gender Bender, Romantic, Comedy. The stupid story for Pretty Face started incredibly well, as most of the guys reading this will be able to understand how Randou (male protagonist) feels to be forced into this situation. After the initial beginning, the story just becomes a bunch of random events about Randou trying to keep his true identity hidden. This can be pretty difficult when read more

"Pretty Face" follows a tradition of absurd manga storylines, such as 'Tuxedo Gin and A.I. Love You," that have never been adapted as an anime. Regardless, these absurd romantic comedies, "Pretty Face" included contribute greatly to the genre of comics known as anime. Thanks to Yasuhiro Kano, the author, do we now fear bus accidents for more reason than just death, could we really become a member of the opposite gender because of such an event? Kano-sensei says, "YES!"

Drawing quality in this series is good but not extrodinary. Many character designs seem generic, in fact i could argue that they all have the same face read more

This manga was Hilarious, i laughed over and over again. This is about guy who had his face melt down because of an accident and get's face change to his love. and the conflict between the Two is so funny. and since the main character is karate Champion he protect his love one with it's monstrous strength.

I Highly recommand This anime if you like Romance. (it has slight ecchi part)(Also if you Liked this manga I Recommend Mx0 {the same author})

Story: 8
Alright if you're reading this you already know what Pretty Face is all about. That being said I have to admit that the set-up for the manga was more than a little bit ridiculous and highly unlikely (I mean c'mon Rina's parents had NO idea that they didn't have their real daughter?) But hey, it sets up into a pretty good and entertaining story. Randoh's continuing search to find the real Yuna and his adjustment to living trying to disguise himself as a girl certainly helps to drive the story. Additionally all of the awkward humor that arises from Randoh's read more

Manga: Akane-chan Overdrive
"Pretty Face" and "Akane-chan Overdrive" Both protagonists deal with similar situations, being genderbent, although the latter its slightly more extreme. The way they go through their new everyday life is also quite similar. If you liked Pretty Face, give Akane-chan Overdrive a shot, since they're nearly clones.

Manga: Midori no Hibi
in both mangas, the characters try to hide their actual identities, and they both are experienced fighters

and both are pretty amusing/funny, and contain some romance

Manga: No Bra
Both manga relates to how almost everyone thinks the main character is actually girl when its actually a guy. Pretty face however actually hates being a girl while in this manga the guy wants to be a girl. The comedy is fairly similar so i recommend pretty face.

Manga: Detective Conan
In both series the main character is transformed and gets to live in the home of his crush. In Detective Conan he is turned into a kid and in Pretty Face he must live as a girl. Naturally the goal to get their true form back is also the same.

Manga: Ichinensei ni Nacchattara
Involved in traffic accident; getting revived by a pervert scientist that turns him into a girl; living with the girl he likes; trying to hide his identity. Except in Ichinensei ni Nacchattara, the main character gets turned into a much younger girl.

Manga: Tenshi na Konamaiki
Well, it's about a boy who gets turned into a girl (all the way down to his/her genes) but still for 6 years has been trying to get turned back into a boy (it was an evil genie that did it). The genie reversed his wish to be the manliest of all men. So it isn't surprising that now she's beautiful, but can fight really well. She starts attracting a group of guys ranging from the pervert geek to the tough guy gang leader. There's a LOT of physical fighting going on as well. She is beginning to realize that her  read more
