Preliminary (16/19 eps)
It's shocking to me there isn't any review for this side story, and despite as of now I can't seem to find the last chapters translated anywhere I can still say it was worth the ride and damn it was interesting. The first half starts like we fans of steins;gate already know, but from there it adds more and more than I could have ever asked for.

It was a sad and painful read, but it was also that it made it so beautiful, it brings more depth and insight to Kurisu's character at a critical point on the story. And I dare you all not ...

Spoiler
This retells the story starting from before the deletion of the first D-mail (two-thirds of the anime).

It differs from the original story by adding more backstory for Kurisu and Faris, adds a conection between them and between their fathers. It makes (partially) sense of the behavior of Nakabachi before the story. For the rest, the scenario is identical right to the end, and completes the character development for Kurisu (and Faris).

It's great, even just for reliving the Steins;gate story. The quality is on par with the original, even if this added backstory adds unnecessary relations (Hashida's mother, who looks just like Suzuha...)
