Created by the same author, both series adapts a story taking place at a school life setting where relationship and youth is explored. The main male protagonist are kind and there is a lot of emphasis on relationship building. Their story pacing is also considered slow with subtle romance that gradually develops. There is an elegant innocence that readers will feel as they read through both series. Recommended for anyone interested in lighthearted drama.

In both there is an attractive girl but without friends due to a "problem" she has, but a relatively ordinary boy approaches her and they become friends. Both very cute stories.

Usagi Drop and Isshuukan Friends brings strong relationship dynamics as part of its storytelling. The main male and female protagonist shares a relationship that develops over a course of time. There is a familiar feel especially with the slow pacing story and slice of life tone. Each chapter depicts their life as they face new obstacles together. 

Both stories deal with memory loss. Memories of a girl dissappear every week, just like in Hello, Hello and Hello.  

Isshuukan Friends and Ohayou, Ibarahime are both romances between a very pure hearted boy who befriends a shy girl whose unique supernatural circumstances prevent her from socializing with other people.
