*spoilers, duh* Each involve a protagonist that takes the place of a celebrated icon (the princess in Shounen Oujo and the famous magician in Magical[forgot the exact position, haven't read it in a long time]). The tone in Shounen is much more serious and it focuses on conflicts such as uprisings and royal politics while Magical stretches day-to-day magical lessons and is a little more light-hearted. Both are increasingly concerned with concealing the swap in identity; however, Shounen presents more dire consequences starting right at the beginning.

Na*Na*Ki!! and Magical x Miracle are both by Yuzu Mizutani so the character design is obviously familiar. Friendship plays an important role in both mangas. In addition, the main characters in both are a bit naive to start out with.

Both main characters moved to a city/land. In MxM, merleawe was captured and kidnapped and was taken to the palace and was asked to impersonate the master wizard so that war would not broke. in the end of the story, she officially became the master wizard. In Magico, Emma holds the most powerful dark magic. Don't know why but i always think that they're kinda similar...

The art reminded me of each other and they are both cute tales of a young commoner who ends up with the nobles or high society.

the feel is very similar. both are about a girl who is suddenly placed in a different environment and can't seem to fit in. nonetheless, they win the affections of friends and love interests as they try their best. the character design is very similar, the protagonist is very pure hearted and innocent in both

Magical x Miracle and Ultra Manic are both about girls who can't quite grasp the concept of Magic. Both series are perfect if you like that fantasy aspect.

both about girls who go to a magic school and want to become great at what they do

Both of these are centered around one girl who can't exactly do magic, but they try hard to. It's also a fantasy type, and they take place in a magic school, or at least learning about magic.

Both of these titles have a very similar feel, and not just in their art. Both deal with magic and wizardry, and spoiled people of royal blood. If you enjoyed either of them you would like both.
