Manga: Darker than Black: Shikkoku no Hana
Both Shikkoku no Hana and King of Thorn are engaging and deep stories by Iwahara Yuji. Both are drawn with his clear and unique art style, and both tell stories that are considerably dark and similarly explore the human psyche while going on at an incredible pace. King of Thorn is a must for any readers with self respect (:P), and Shikkoku is not to be missed for any fans of Darker than Black.

Even though there's a difference in their storylines, both manga involve the traveling to an unknown future where peoeple have to face a whole bunch of adverse situations in order to survive.

Manga: Sidonia no Kishi
Despite the contrasting settings, both series delivers a premise that hits the sci-fi horror chords. The main characters confronts monsters in their worlds as they fight for survival. Throughout both series, they uncover the horrible truth regarding some secrets that were met to be locked away. There is decent amount of action along with great story building present in both series. Recommended for fans of sci-fi.

Manga: Green Worldz
Taking place in a post-apocalyptic setting, both series focuses on a story with survival horror themes. The main characters' lives becomes in jeopardy as they discover the dangers that lives in their worlds. There is a decent amount of mystery elements as well especially with some of the conflicts they encounter. But for any fan of survival horror fiction, you'll be pleased to find that both series' story develops alongside its characters. Each chapter progresses their story as we learn the truth about their worlds.

I found the two to have the similar "time is important" factor , and the feeling it gives is very close... The two are a must read, for the story and for the artwork!

Manga: Eden: It's an Endless World!
In both manga there is a post apocalyptic setting brought about by a disease that solidifies people. They also both deal with political and philosophical ideas although Eden to much larger extent.

Both of these manga are set in unique visions of the future, and focus on well-developed characters who are in the center of a mystery and some technologically advanced violence.

Manga: Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu
Both series are about a group of people in a post-apocalyptic near-future setting trying to find out how much time has passed since the present as they know it and what exactly has happened to change the world so drastically and frighteningly while fighting for survival -- against the monsters that want to make a meal out of them, and sometimes against each other.

Manga: Absorb;Ability
Both have a epidemic virus that threatens the world. Also share the similarity that there are twins who love each other strongly as siblings. Though in Absorb Ability Kazuma is the uninfected twin and Momoka his sister has the theta type influenza virus. Though I've only read one chapter of Absorb Ability it ties a resemblance to King of Thorn, and both are good ^^
