Both really good mangas. Similar as to the demons trying to get more power, priestess/mystic, protector who is not human. Love, Romance, Fighting. Good all around. enjoy! 

Both involving with eastern Asian Mythology and Priestess and ordinary girls who are given divine powers  

Extremely similar plots! In Towa Kamo Shirenai, Hitsugi protects his priestess, the himiko (Kosumo) and due to his love for her he becomes the "destroyer." Much like Izark and Noriko. The drawings are similar as well :] Although the plots are similar, From far away is sweeter, but none the less another great read for those addicted to fantasy / historical reads! 

In both, the main girl dies but something belonging to her is transfered to another girl( In KBA is her soul while in TKS is her heart). Lots of bugs and butterflies in both that are connected to supernatural. 

TKS is the shoujo-ish version of Inuyasha: A priestess dies and a non human guy who loved her is heart broken, then somehow she comes back to life through a new girl (In Inuyasha she reincarnates while in TKS her heart is given to another girl).  

The both are about the same legend, Amateratsu and Susanoo.
