The art style and story structure change dramatically during the course of the series. The art begins very rounded and looking like a standard shounen manga of the time. As the series progressed, the art style became more angular and simplistic, until it eventually resembles his later art style used in Katte ni Kaizou and Sayounara Zetsubou Sensei. The story changes from a sports comedy to more of a current-events parody.
