SynopsisThere is an ancient government office, which was first founded by Queen Himiko, to deal with difficulties arising from supernatural forces. Even today, that agency secretly exists and deals with curses and other dark forces that threaten Japan.

Both deal with the supernatural, ghosts, spirits, curses and dispelling curses on people and in similar ways. However Butterfly is a gender bender while Ame no Murakumono is a shounen.

Both deal with spirituality, ghosts, curses, the ability to see them and dispell ghosts, demons and curses. Holic is of course much more developed in both characters and plot but if you are in the mood for that type of story Ame no Murakumono is short and reads quickly.
