What do phallic toys, a traditional Japanese festival and a pantiless girl in a kimono have in common? Akira and Nagi, of course. Nagi's biggest problem seems to be her horny boyfriend—until the flu and a rectal thermometer set off a new kind of fever in her, a trip to the hot springs, a jug of wine, and a hot four-way orgy. Nagi's at it again, Nagi's friend Yukika assists Akira with his research... on positions from a tantric sex manual, after Akira finally finishes his term paper, long-suffering and neglected Nagi removes her panties, points her ass at him, and begs Akira to screw her silly. It's a sex comic, what do you think happens next!?! Plus: Yukika and her boyfriend visit a public bath and make the Beast With Two Backs.

I enjoyed this. Is it deep and meaningful? no. is it full of sex? yes. Does it hit the spot on quite a few of my likes? yes. Which is the reason it was enjoyable.

Each of the 14 chapters pretty much represent sexy times in Nagi and Akira's life. Their relationship has a d/s underpinning (a bit of dominance, a bit of humiliation, a bit bondage), but that is part of what I like about it. More to the point, there is just the two of them, and there isn't the abuse that you often see in bondage hentai, and yeah. It was just read more

There are just some series that are truly classics in all aspects of reviewing them. The problem with the H-manga genre though is the H aspect in itself.

It's just problematic. Something like Love Hina, Tenchi Muyo, Saber Marionette, Salad Days, Ranma 1/2, Dragonball... regardless of the different genre and the different generations and the gateway anime critics... there forms a singularity in that even if you don't know the difference between shoujo and shonen...even if you are one of those that critiques the story aspect of the series...there arises a group around that series that sets it apart and appreciates it for what it is.

Manga: Sein (Zain)
Although not similar in genre with Co-Ed being more of a hentai romance comedy and Zain being a much much darker series, both series are notable for expanding the quality of hentai storytelling without being very original in their plot mostly because the characters stand out on their own, the bondage scenes do not overtake the plot to the point of making the characters feel slutty to begin with but most importantly both series are among the few quality H-manga series that even non-porn seeking viewers may want to check out as they have depths that stick closely to the hentai plot (i.e. this isn't  read more

Manga: Love Hina
Although Co-Ed is a hentai and Love Hina is more of a ..."not hentai" anime, what holds these two series strongly in similarity is the power of two inter-connecting relationships between two people. (also the bathing motif is strong in both) For people who've already read Love Hina, think of Co-ED as a more perverted two couple episodic story between only Keitaro and Naru (or maybe replace Naru with Kitsune...or cosplay a male Kitsune who's enslaving Shinobu...) but reverse the gender roles and reduce the beat ups and you get the feel of Co-ED Sexxtasy although the dated artwork and bondage scenes might turn off those  read more

Manga: Nana to Kaoru
Co-Ed is a hentai, but still the couple in it are in a S&Mish relationship. This manga is also funny, so really i think any Nana to Kaoru fan would enjoy it.
