Note: I'll be using some mid recent events from Vampire Knight which for the readers who are caught up are not spoilers. But for those who have just started the series, those events may be considered "spoilers" for you.
------------------------------------------------
If you're reading 'Bara to Juudan' online, there's only 5 updated chapters.
However, if you've read 'Vampire Knight', you can tell within the first several pages that 'Bara to Juudan' is NEARLY identical to 'Vampire Knight.' However, 'Bara to Juudan' gets cheesy really, REALLY fast. No joke. It got so cheesy that I started cracking up in the middle of reading it. The problem is this cheesiness doesn't work for the whole "vampire-queen-and-vampire-hunter-are-childhood-friends-who-love-each-other" idea of a plot.
So if you have read 'Vampire Knight' and have not read 'Bara to Juudan,' here's the basic idea of it.
Mistuki = Yuuki => Queen/Pureblood = aristocrat <
Ren = Zero =>Vampire Hunter/Slayer = hates vampires, but loves ^
The plot is fairly, fairly basic. Due to the fact that the mangaka probably didn't want it to be identical to 'Vampire Knight' and that it's only 5+ chapters in.
As I say with every manga though, the art is a 10. I can't draw better and you probably can't either so I'd be a hypocrite to say that the art was bad when it was obviously stunning. But again, the bloody lines are so cheesy like your typical Shoujo manga.
I really don't think this series will get very fair regardless of how many chapters the mangaka draws. It's too similar to 'Vampire Knight' and the idea is too cliche for a cliche idea.
So yeah... didn't enjoy the series at all. Planning to drop it soon actually.

The similarities of these two is of course on vampires.
The main character is similar to yuuki and zero of vamipre knight
Bara to Juudan a.k.a. Bloody love; Rose and Bullet is Similiar however At first they seem like a normal Girl and Boy, He just moved next door to her 2 years ago. You learn that he is an under cover Vampire hunter... He poses as a student and gets close to her. He knows that she will become a full vampire soon. so he watches her,waiting for her to turn....... From her point of view... hes the nice,cool guy from next door. shes starting to fall in love with him....then, she blacks out at night and kills people... She is herself during the day like a normal girl. shes scared, and turns to him for help....Only to find out that He is not a normal guy either... Hes a tough vampire hunter that has been living in secret .... just waiting for her to turn! .... and unlike zero from Vampire Knight he not only Points the gun at her....He actually pulls the trigger! This girl is now on the run...no one on her side, The boy she loves calls her a monster and wants her dead....

To start off, their genres both include shoujo and romance. They both seem to be fantasy and supernatural.
Bara to Juudan seems like a shorter version of Ao no Fuuin. Bara to Juudan is way shorter compared to Ao no Fuuin. Bara to Juudan is only 1 volume while Ao no Fuuin is 11 volumes.
Let's start with some similarities:
-Both heroines gain a special power at the age of sixteen.
-Both heroines gain a human killing power
-Both male leads are ordered to kill heroine
-Both male leads fall in love with heroine
-Both have beautiful and strong female leads
Now some differences:
-Bara to Juudan is about vampires while Ao no Fuuin is about demons.
-Ao no Fuuin has love triangles.
-Ao no Fuuin has some mature stuff in it
-Ao no Fuuin was published in 1992 while Bara to Juudan as published in 2011
There are more differences you discover as you read. I can't discuss them here because I might spoil a couple things.
I was pretty doubtful about reading Ao no Fuuin because I'm not really into reading manga published so long ago. However, I read a review saying it was really good so I gave it a chance. That review was right. After reading a couple of chapters, I couldn't stop reading.
I had read Bara to Juudan before Ao no Fuuin. After reading a couple chapters of Ao no Fuuin, I saw the similarities between the two.
